Where can I find a flat/studio or a room to rent in London?

I am arriving on the 11th of February.
I know many agencies ask for a garantall or a work contract, and for the moment I cand provide that.
Is there a way to find an agency that has easier condition for renting a flat?

Try http://www.simple2rent.co.uk as they has 100s of flats to rent in London - mostly from private landlords and they dont charge fees to anyone.
