Landords entered our rental many, many times without our knowledge, we found notes in the house and in the garage from them. Is there anything that can be done about this?

If the median home price represents the price where half of the homes sold above that price and half sold below it in a given market (a seemingly more conservative estimate than average home price which could be skewed by very expensive home sales), could one multiply their home purchase price by the % change in median home price to arrive at a fairly accurate estimate of what their home is presently worth? For example, if the median home price has gone up 25% over the past five years, would multiplying my purchase price by 25% give me an accurate estimate of the present day value of my house? Thanks.

My hubby and I are trying to find the perfect place for us to live, so we can start planning for our move in 3 years. We LOVE the water. We don't want to go to the west coast. Lakes are great too. It would be best to be by a military installation, as well. (I know... lots of criteria. That's why we are stumped!)

I need a $95,000 mortgage - the property is a 2 story house on 2.5 acres of mixed use/commercial property. I've talked to an appraiser and he said it was worth around $125,000. I make $1200 a month with average credit. Would this be possible or would I need a "cosigner"? What would that entail?

I inherited a property from my parents. It's not pay off yet. Im the one who's continuing the mortgage payment. It's under my name (in loan document, and other paper works). Is there's a possibility that my wife could get the house if we get divorce? Or if she ask to add her name on the title, loan or any documents related to this, can she does that. or is it possible. What do I have to do to protect my inherit property?

I know prices vary in different locations. In my area $100,000 could probably get you a new kitchen and perhaps a garage. That would be my choice.

What wuld you get done to your house, if you were given $100,000 to improve it. I'm interested in the choices you would make plus ... wondering how much work you could get done for that price.

I live in the mid-west of the United States. I found the following story on Yahoo and find it hard to beleive that they have three offers already.

"London and the 77-square-foot former storage room — slightly bigger than a prison cell and without electricity — is going for $335,000 USD"

It is estimated it would take another $59,000 USD to fix it up to be liveable. And it is in a basement. Location is one thiing but........

That much money would buy a lot of property where I live.
Does this mean you couldn't touch this closit for less than $1,000,000 USD in ten years.

I'm in a small suburban home and my window overlooks a ground-level deck. I've frequently thought how nice it would be to be able to get out of the house (even to the backyard) from my room. I rent the room, but I'm friends with the guy who owns the house. His attitude has been that as long as I'm willing to do the work, he'll take a bit off my rent if I want to improve things.
