Can anyone please tell me what is the best metropolitian area in Texas I should live in? Should I live in Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio, or Austin? What is it like living in those areas and the experience? What metro area in Texas I prefer and better off living in? Any suggestions?

Planning on doing an interest only loan on a home we will be selling in less than 6 months. Is this a good idea? Is there small print? I'm thinking the lower mortgage payment would be a good idea, since we are just flipping the house.

If you put one on your house say 20 years ago, do we have to keep updating them as the properly increases in value or does the original one stick and cover us indefinitely ?the property value obviously increases over the years, especially if you are modernizing your home.

I have am supposed to close escrow on a condo in California tomorrow. The selling agent agreed to fix one thing in the place, which was supposed to be done on Monday. She did not inform us whether the fix was done, she is not returning our calls, and she took off the lockbox to the place (meaning that we can't check to see if the repair was done, nor can we do a final walk through, as specified in the contract). What are my legal rights here? Should I still go forward?

When working without a partner or real estate agent what is the procedure for signing a sales contract and who are the witness who need to be present to validate the contract? Once the owner of a property agrees to sell to me, what is the procedure for getting the contract signed and how do I find the witnesses?

I am renting a property through a letting agency, and moved in in Aug 06. I signed a 12 month Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement.

I have just recieved a call from the letting agency stating the Landlord is thinking of selling up.

My question is this: What happens to me if the landlord sells the property. Does the new landlord have to honour the existing agreement or can I simply be thrown out?

Regards

CY.

I have a joint mortgage with a friend who now want to leave. We have £60K worth of equity in our property and our mortgage left to pay is virtually as it was when we bought the house four years ago, less about £2K (total still to pay is £60K). Does this mean that I would have to pay half of the equity plus all of the mortgage payments if I wanted to keep the house? That would mean £30K in equity and all the mortgage payments to retirement (virtually double the 60K mortgage by the time retirement comes along!)??
It just seems a great cost to keep the house and my friend, although walking away from the house, would be taking £30K...if of course I had that kind of money! :-(

I'm selling a house and I REALLY NEED THE MONEY. The potential buyer is under contract to close Jan.31. But we are now less than a week away and she has decided to change the type of mortgage she wants. So basically this will delay the closing for 2-4weeks. I have bent over backwards to accomodate her because she is a first time homeowner, but I'm at my breaking point. What should I do? (1)Tell her that if we do not close by the 31st, we will have to renegotiate the price or (2) Have her sign an ammendment to the first contract simply requiring a new closure date. I feel she has already lied by not following through on the original contract so another contract or amendment is sort of pointless. Your advice and help is greatly appreciated.
