Can anyone please tell me what is the best metropolitian area in Texas I should live in? Should I live in Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio, or Austin? What is it like living in those areas and the experience? What metro area in Texas I prefer and better off living in? Any suggestions?

I would agree with hotdog. In addition, I find that San Antonio has the most character. It has a lot of variety and great food!! The contrast between the Mexican influence from the south, and the German influence from the hill country (north of SA) is really interesting.

You didn't say anything about yourself to help us. Austin tends to be a younger crown (or the young at heart) with lots of parties, drinking, hippy lifestlye, etc. Dallas is very corporate and great for up and coming business people. Houston is similar to Dallas, but with a little more focus on fun. San Antonio is laid back, but a richer and more sophisticated crowd than Austin.

If you have any desire for culture, I would suggest Austin. If you like entertainment, Dallas. STAY AWAY FROM HOUSTON! There is nothing in Houston you want to see unless you skateboard. I know nothing about San Antonio, but if you would like to prolong your life, try to stay away from the big cities.
