I currently am living in a house in which my name is on the title, but not the mortgage. The mortage holder no longer resides in the residence (due to a peace order). The mortgage holder is currently in default of the loan, and the bank will begin foreclosing proceedings in January. What are my options, being that I have an equitable interest in the home? Can I appeal the foreclosure due to this fact or do I have to sue the current mortgage holder? Last but not least how much longer can i expect to live in the home?

If you were intersted in real estate and doing the whole house flipping thing, then what degree do you think you would benefit from the most besides just having your license for real estate.

I have discovered that the house I live in has a manhole in the living room - the living room is in an extension that was built at a different stage to when the house was built.

Now, do you know if this means the house is not fit for rental and should therefore have never been rented out? If so, can I sue the landlord and get my money back? I've been in the house for 4 years, but only found out recently when a neighbour renovating his house asked me if he could have access to the manhole in my living room to unblock the drain.

what do you suggest I do? I'm renting with foxtons, in clapham

I'm trying to get a new roommate for my apartment (online) and some of the responses I've gotten seem fake...like foreign people saying they want to live there when they move without seeing it...I just got a response saying she wants to pay with cashier's check...so are these scams (if so, how does it work) or just people who are bored and are faking it for fun or what's the deal? How do I find a good roommate anyway? I'm running out of time!

The dishwasher doesn't work. She said to buy some Jet Dry, did that, water won't reach top rack. Kitchen faucet runs (hot) water all of the time, I have to keep the water turnned off under the sink. The toliet won't flush, I have to lift the tank lid and stick my hand into it and manuver the float. The light fixtures are broken. I didn't see them, I look at the apt at night. I have something dead in the central air duct that smell so bad I can't turn on the heat. She told me 2 weeks ago she would send the heating/cooling man out, haven't seen one yet. That's all I can think of right now. Can I get out of my lease. I don't know if I can afford to move right now. But when I can afford it I will. Can I get out of the lease. She didn't even give me a copy of the lease. She told me she was out of legal paper. Help. Renter in Tennessee

Our home in FL has sinkhole activity. We moved out of state and no longer live in the house. The monthly payment is killing us and waiting on the insurance company has been drawn out. They have decided to fix it, which could be another few months. We can't wait that long. So is signing the house over to the lender an option. How can we get rid of it fast. We are not looking to make any money, just cover what we owe.

I am looking at about a $80,000 price range in central KY. Any one know of any resources for people who are pretty much ignorant when it comes to this stuff?

I'm getting ready to come back to america from overseas and my wife says that she can't break the lease with our landlord, so she'll have to stay in Ohio while I go to Georgia for more military duty. Is the landlord right? If not what can I show him that he can't refute this.

I'm wanting the answer over the weekend, and all the offices that I could go to find the answer to this Q are closed

Thanks for any help

I have a rental property that someone else was running for me, now I'm taking it back over. I know there should be money set aside each month to cover repairs - everything from small plumbing to bigger things like replacing the roof (when needed in xx years). How much $ should be set aside each month (i.e. what percentage is the norm) for such things?
