I am 24 years old and I am 3 years into my career as a Network Admin. I have spotless credit and have a small but good amount of money saved up.

What I am interested in is a 3 flat building. Can someone please tell me if I am spinning my wheels with this idea? Is it way more work than it is worth? What are some hidden start up costs? Is it so much work that I would have to quit my current job?

I am very interested in real estate and think this might be a good way to start. I really want to make some money from it but I will also value the experience. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. Thank you in advance to everyone for your help!

Is it a good practice to refinance a car or truck. I recently purchased a home and the payment is somewhat large. I was in need of transportation before I purchased the home. I was thinking It would hinder the mortgage process if I bought a new vehicle before the house. I want to know is it worth refinancing the auto to make my money and budget work out. I did not buy this auto just to be buying, I bought it because of need and the condition of my 92 van is horrible. There is no heat and many other things.
Any advice is appreciated.

My car broke down & was towed to a big retailer. The pipes from my engine fell out. The car absolutely needs a new engine. Cost & labour $1500. I did get a 2nd opinion it was $1300. I bought the car for $1500 11 months ago. My tires r brand new. (I payed $200) Most of the scrap metal places want to give me $100 for my car. Hyundai accent 97. My car is in Vaudreuil, Quebec, Canada. How can I get more $ assuming that there is no point in fixing the car.

My landlord took the house off of the market when I started leasing the house. I signed a 1 year lease agreement. Now out of nowhere he came to me and says, "I have a lady that wants to buy the house and if she buys the house she is not going to lease it. She would like to live in it!" Is this legal? Can nothing be done? I signed a 1 year lease with the intentions of being there for 1 year, now if he sells this house can he just kick me out? (we are only 4months into our lease)

I am planning on putting my town home on the market. However, some rooms could use some painting and the carpeting needs to be replaced. I was told that instead of wasting time getting these things done myself, I can offer vouchers to the buyers so they can make they're own renovations. Is this a good option?

me and boyfriend are thinking of buying our first house, its a nice house but i have a few concerns. Its in the downtown area in a nice neighborhood for the most part BUT its also a couple blocks away from a bad area with alot of crime. Also in that particular area, the city has a plans to redo it and make it nice, but that could be 5 years or so. Anyways what do you think? Buy it or pass?

I have a friend who lives in San Diego, CA. He rented a repo modular home from an agency, when he moved in he noticed it didn't have any hot water, He's been there for 2 weeks now. He doesn't think they will be able to get hot running water to where he is located? What are his rights as a renter?

I paid the deposit when I adopted a cat, they gave me an agreement to sign but I got coffee on it. They said they would print another agreement to sign and return but I never received one. When I move out in May and there are no damages, do I have recourse to get this non-refundable deposit back? I do understand that they treat for pet dander and that comes out of that money. My thought was, was that I never signed anything stating this is non-refundable. What do you think?
