It depends on how you feel. I personally, having done both, choose to be by myself. It is hard, getting used to a new persons habits and ways. It should be up to you, though.

If you can afford it, I saw by yourself. My sister had a roommate (they were best friends) that decided she wanted to go live with her boyfriend & she left my sister with all the rent for 5 months until the lease was up. Now there were 4 of them renting a 4 bedroom house, rent split 4 ways, one roommate moved out, now there are 3, rent split 3 ways, one roommate couldn't pay the Dec rent because she had to pay her lawyer. The Dec rent was split 2 ways. It is easier & cheaper for you to have a roommate but be very careful. If you decide on a roommate make sure that you can cover the rent if they don't pay.

The about living with room mates is that you have to be okay with the possible evasion of privacy, especially if you are sharing the bathroom and kitchen and livingroom area. Some people are really dirty and inconsiderate. Others will be hermits and live in their room, but for the most maybe you will find someone decent who you will like to hang out with.
If you are strapped for cash or would prefer the security of another person...go for it if it's just one person.. if it was more than one I'd say no, and only because I lived with four room mates and it was hell.
**Be sure if you do to set out some rules about cleaning, taking out trash..and noise control, and rent payment..**
Good luck

I think a roommate is by far a safer choice. You have to screen renters or you never know who you'll be letting in.Good luck.

Personally, the one year I spent with a roommate was hell. I don't recommend it.
