I have an opportunity to purchase a home that is going to be foreclosed on. The seller is asking me to purchase it, let him live in it for 1 year by paying me rent, and give me $10,000. When the year is up, I will sell it back to him at market price. He simply does not want to lose the house. Does this sound legit?

I recently bought a new house and I am living in that house. I bought the new house before selling the old house. I know, a mistake!! The old house won't sell!! It has been on the market for more than 60 days with no offers. I can't afford to keep paying two mortgages. The old house has a first and second mortgage. I don't know what to do. I can't rent it for as much as the payments are and I'm draining my savings paying mostly interest. If I have to let it go and the bank forecloses what happens to my new house and my other assets?

Mother has been declare incompetent (demenetia). Siblings fighting over property even before Mom passes - think I'm "after" the house. Family is a mess - mother's will was done out of anger and everything has changed. She will be going into nursing home. Would like to avoid probate after her death. I want to add all of my siblings to the title so that everyone feels better about their "inheritance" and I can get on with caring for mom without all the fighting.

We have recently moved, and before doing so we contacted a local real estate agent for help in finding a home. Once arriving, we gave the agent information about what we are looking for, but he has not been sending us any listings or taking us to view any houses. He also asked us to get prequalified through his lender (which we did) and send him a certified 1000 check to use as earnest money if we find a house we want to make an offer on (we have not sent the check!). The thing is, we have never even met this guy, much less viewed a house with him. Now, I am thinking we made a bad choice by signing the buyer's agreement. Is there anyway we can get out of it and find a better agent? Thanks!

My mortgage payment will be officially 30 days late on the 30th of this month. My new loan to refinance this loan funds on the 2nd of next month. The payment is about $4600. Should I pay it and Not have a mark on my credit or lose the $4600 (interest) and keep my Excellent Credit standing. By the way my credit is mid score 750.

I'm going to be breaking my lease in a few months. I've given them the form they gave me to fill out (notice to vacate), and I'm going to pay all the fees associated with breaking the lease. My question is will this affect my credit? Will this reflect badly upon me and my credit for breaking my lease even though i'm doing it the right way (giving proper notice and paying fees)?

So this is a long one. My friend and I moved into this apartment about 6 months ago. About a month after she signed a lease, she decided that she couldnt pay rent anymore, so she subletted to this guy she met off of craigslist. She didnt contact the apartment complex about subletting to him when she did this.

Well, as it turned out this guy was very annoying. I cant talk to him about bills without him getting pissy, he has a kid that comes over more often that he said the kid would be coming over, he was late on rent once for like two-three weeks. He has granades and guns in his room, which is really wierd.

Well, I talked to the leasing center about my problem and they said he was an unauthorized guess and he had to get out, or id be evicted.

So, we are wanting to kick this guy out now. My question is basically does it matter the reason if I kick the guy out?

Our landlord tells us we have nothing to worry about but he then brought a realtor to the home in question, along with his soon to be ex wife, and later told us that he has to put the house on the market for 90 days to appease his wife and then he will buy her share out. I do not want to be surprised with a 30-day notice in December and be forced to move in the snow and ice. What are our rights as our lease is good through June of 2007. If the house is placed on the market, does that void the lease so we can move if we choose to with no repsonsibility for remainder of the lease? Can we get our deposit back?

why would we not deduct money from RE mortgage everytime we hit "pay check" from our liabilities when in real life we would have to caluculate this step along with all other liabilities/expenses.
