I live in Lake County, FL, just wondering how low will the home prices go? Should I wait a few more months to buy a home, or find one now, and hope that I get the best deal?

We are building a home with NV Homes that we are already $55,000 into. The contract indicates that if you default you lose the entire deposit plus are liable for any resulting court costs and attorney fees. But our present house is still on the market and we probably cannot afford this new home anyway. We would consider walking away from our earnest money if we knew we didn't run the risk of going to court over this. Can anyone help?

While gone to visit relatives, my daughter and her friend were locked out of the house they were renting. All of their belongings are still inside. The Sheriff will not go with us to retrieve their things because it is a civil matter. What should they do?

I have been living couch to couch for the last year. Now I need a current address for a rental application. I have very bad credit. Only recently have I been able to start mending it. I have no bank account nor address. I do however have an excellent high paying job and I am current on all car payments and school loans. How do I explain to the rental company why I don't have a bank account nor address? Will they even rent to me?

I talk with people young and old on a daily basis and most say a home is a great investment. However, I've found that the older
owners will never see there investment as they die with the home only to pass it on to there kids or relatives, thus in my eyes they never seen their investment they died with it? As for the younger folks, they talk of buying and selling for a profit only to buy a bigger home, a home in which they will most likely die in someday as the older folks a referred to above. So is a home really great investment or a giant material mass that you die with?

Most of my friends are living to pay off there mortgage. While I take vacations and enjoy my fleeting youth. I think people fail to invest in there life and soul......

If you buy a home for lets say 100,000 and pay mortgage on it each month lets say 2,000, and then you sell the home 3 month after purchase, and made total of 6,000 in payments so far. Would you now owe the bank only around 94000 dollars and you can keep the 6000?
(I did not consider the interest rate and other fees in my example, I am just wondering how it works in general)

I'm going to try flipping homes, I know I'm going to need to sell it within a week to a month. I'm not a real estate agent and I've never done anything like this before. So I've done my homework on finding sellers, but I have no idea where to find buyers that are ready to buy within a week to a months time. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I was wondering if I just sand the door using sand paper say 60 grit with no paint thinner or heat gun will the paint chip even more? My biggest fear with sanding using sand paper is that I would have to sand the entire door frame in order to make the entire door frame surface uniform, which would be a hassle.

My other question is that the wooden door has some minor paint chips that I want to fill in. What should I use to fill in the small paint chips in the wooden door?

Long story short...

My mom got a roommate last month.

1) She let him take her car to go buy at pair of pants at 8:00pm and didnt return until the next morning with two BS lies about what happened. After that she gave him his eviction notice which states he needs to be gone on the 9th of next month. We just found out from a co-worker he was too high to drive her car back home.

2) He claimed to be the head chef at a country club, but is just a line chef making half of what he claimed.

3) The manager at his work JUST called my mom and left a message for her to call back asap. She called him back and he said they fired the tenant for lying and is believed to be on drugs. The tenant lies and claims he quit.

4) A worker at the tenants now old job tells my mom he was spotted doing drugs in the park (meth or something)

She doesn't feel safe. Can we do immediate eviction?? We are in Arizona

The contract I have with my current realtor listing my home expires next month. I already have a different realtor I want to list with the day after my current contract is up. I want to know if I have to reimburse the old realtor for costs she had for advertising, etc if she didn't sell the home within her contract time and I list with someone new? This is in Texas if that makes a difference. Thanks!
