We are moving to another state, and would like to buy a home there. My real estate agent told me wouldn't be able to get a mortgage, because my husband has only been working at his new job (in that state) for 3 months (he moved ahead of the rest of us so he would have a home and job before we even got down there). He makes good money so is it possible to get mortgaged? We have a nice down payment as well...

I moved in and paid a $495 security deposit May 2005. I put in my 2 month notice, to move out, on September 1st 06. At the time, I owed my landlord one last partial rent payment of $390, that I was going to pay on Sept. 1st. He said he could just take that out of the security deposit instead. So, my remaining deposit would be $105. I started moving out on 8/30, and couldn't get my kitchen table and tv until 9/1. I left the apartment clean. I sent my landlord a letter with my new forwarding address and phone number. I got an angry, asshole voicemail saying he wouldn't give me my deposit back because the new renter had to wait until 9/2 to move in, and because he had to clean the carpet. When I moved in, we both signed off on a checkoff list noting damage to the apartment. The carpet was on there. It wasn't replaced when I moved in. It had tape marks on it from an area rug that was down. It was in the same condition as when I moved in. He says I won't get any of it back. Is this legal?

i have scowered the internet and the only answer i get is "its impossible to tell how much a mobile home costs because of the large number of options available"

BOLOGNA! I have no idea if they cost 20,000 or 100,000. but i know they have a better idea of a price range than that.

could you please help. if you know of a website with pictures, floor plans, and prices that would be perfect. ...but if you just know from personal experience that would be great too. thanks!

What is considered normal "wear and tear" in an apartment? You are entitled to receive your security deposit unless damages beyond normal wear and tear occur. Are there any laws stating what normal wear and tear is?

I need some serious advice. I don't want to end up in trouble with the mortgage. we have a option loan.(intrest/payment) w/ a variable rate and the 2nd is kicking our butts. It wouldn't be so bad if our 2nd wouldn't flucuate. what i need to decide is if we should refinance again. we have no fixed available right now, and if we do this our mort. will go up 800 dollars Take in mind the paym't goes up because we are going to add the car loan to it. but what other options do we have. Our house is NO in jepardy at all. The only problem is that we are only paying a fraction of the interest this way. and thats not cool at all. Help me not be stressed.

Also, would it be easier for the existing tenant (in good standing) to get a mortgage on the unit than if he decided to look elsewhere for a condo?

We just refinanced and closed on Tuesday night - we are expecting money back along with our bills to be paid. What is the average time that it takes to receive the money? It seems to me it was about a week the last time we did this, but I wasn't sure if every time was different.

Just wondering. . . what exactly is meant when the MLS shows "hardwood floors"? Does that truly mean only hardwood floors, or does that include laminate flooring as well? On that same note, does laminate flooring do much to increase the value of the home, or does that distinction lie only with true hardwoods? My neighbors who have sold recently have been showing "hardwood floors" on the MLS description. I'm going to be replacing my flooring soon, so I want to be sure I'm not over-improving my home, or for that matter, under-improving.

Thanks for your insight!

We are planning to acquire prime London property, redevelop it (various ways to signifcantly increase the square meterage, thereby increasing the potential selling price, and selling off ASAP after completion. We however need close to 100% finance for both the purchase of the property and the development costs (based on surveyors measurements). So far no luck whatsoever. Any ideas? please help!

I've moved out of state, and they won't return any of my calls. I spoke with them once and gave them my new address and she said that she'd get it right out. That was 2 months ago. I've left 6 or 7 messages and I don't know what I can do.
