I was able to buy a house when I got out of college, but hadn't had a job in the same place for a year. If your husband works for a company that offered him a contract, or can show he has been in the same line of work more than a year, you will probably have no problem. Plus, right now the housing market is going through a slump so I'll bet a lender will work with you to get into a home.

You can definitely get the financing you need, if you both have a good credit history.
It is true, you need a different agent, if your husband has been in the same line of work, there is no problem, that is the lender's main concern. Fire your mortgage rep.
Not guiding you in the right direction, you need peace of mind, not any more troubles.

If he has a consistent employment history, and the two of you have a good credit rating, you should be able to get a mortgate. People move all the time, and buy houses in their new locations.

If employment has been in the same line of work for a total of at least two years, you should be able to apply. Qualifying credit-wise and income to debts are other considerations however.
