i have scowered the internet and the only answer i get is "its impossible to tell how much a mobile home costs because of the large number of options available"

BOLOGNA! I have no idea if they cost 20,000 or 100,000. but i know they have a better idea of a price range than that.

could you please help. if you know of a website with pictures, floor plans, and prices that would be perfect. ...but if you just know from personal experience that would be great too. thanks!

My neighbor just paid $70,000 for his trailer. 3 br, 2 baths. All appliances in the kitchen, refrig, stove, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal. Also washer and dryer included. Fully carpeted throughout. Two decks. Transportation and set up included. This is a mobile home not a travel trailer.'

The link below might be useful, if you are looking for a travel trailer.

It may be that you want to look for a PARK MODEL RV - try Googling & there's plenty. The second link does show a mobile home for about $20K. So that's a starting point.

You could also look for real estate listing for land with a mobile home on it - maybe they'd sell you the used home ?

Bottom line - there are mobile homes for 20,000 and I seem to recall an RV park in Palm Springs (some movie stars live there) with million dollar homes - it really does matter what options. It's like trying to buy a car - you can buy someting cheap for a few hundred dollars or a Bugatti Royale (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugatti_Royale) for tens of millions of dollars.

A nice, spacious mobile home can be obtained in a price range from 17,000 to 35,000. The reason the figures are so variable is because a mobile home is like an automobile. Buy it new and leave the lot and the depreciation is astromonical. Your best price for mobile homes are used because they devalue so fast in the first couple of years. Airstream is a big trailer dealer. Also check your local Trading Times because they will list alot of dealers.

Depends on whether it is new or used. They depreciate considerably. A new one that has 3 large bedrooms, 2 baths, large kitchen/dining area, big living room and even an office area that is new and still on the lot runs about $60,000.00. Try contacting "Harbor Homes" or "Horton Homes". They are both high quality homes. We lived in a small 3/2 double wide for 5 years while building our home. Bought it for $23,000.00. Sold it for $13,000.00. It was in excellent condition and the purchasers paid to have it moved. That was 5 years ago. They have gone up!

In Malibu, CA a trailer costs over $1,000,000.

A trailor. In a trailer park.

I'm an engineer and I can't afford to live in a trailer park in CA.
