We have had this card for more than fifteen years! I thought that such rates were not legal. So much for big business. I hope that all readers will remember this note when looking for a credit card company!

I have a very hard time saving money. I am trying to afford an Hermes Picotin handbag: retail about $2k, but I'd like to save $3k by January.

I have a job, but it's in clothing retail and I find myself spending my entire check on clothes. I don't get paid regularly either, just once a month... so it's really easy just to work and take clothes (by keeping a tab and using my check to pay it) as I work along.
I sell things on ebay pretty regularly too. I can make good money at it, cause I just sell my designer clothes and bags, but then I ALWAYS end up spending the money I just made... back on eBay!! I just can't figure a way to save money.

BTW... I am married and don't pay any of the "real" bills such as mortgage, car, etc... so the money I make is mine to keep... but I just have a really hard time hanging onto it. Is anyone in a similar situation or have good suggestions for saving. I've tried giving it to my mom to hang onto, but then I always ask for it when I want something.

I received a savings account statement for an account I didn't open. When I called the bank they verified my identity to this account via the last 4 digits of my SS#. This is a legit bank. Someone apparently opened this account in my name and is transferring money to it. So far two transfers for a total of $12,500 has been transfered to this account. The transfers came from a Wells Fargo bank account that was also in my name. HOWEVER I don't have a Wells Fargo account either! The banks are now investigating and I am waiting to hear back from them. This very weird - and I can't find anything on the internet indicating that this is a common fraud associated with identity theft, and what the purpose is. They used my current address to open these accounts. I have checked my credit reports and no credit accounts have been opened in my name. I have posted alerts now. I wanted to know if anyone has ever heard of a situation like this. Thanks for any input.

my cousin has agreed that she would take over payments on my car, but she has very bad credit due to medicle bills so she doesnt want to have it refinanced because of the interest. i told her that if we cant get the car insured in her name then i cant do it because if she wrecks ill be the one who's screwed. is there any way we can switch everything over to her without having to get it refinanced? any possible ways to go about this at all without changing the interest rate?

Many savings accounts let you withdraw money at any cashpoint. Does that mean that money balance in the savings account is displayed on the debit/credit card's balance? And do money I put in the savings account just go into a debit/credit card?

My brother left the the uk owing a bit on credit cards, about 20 grand. He has never come to the UK and doesnt know if he's been made bankrupt in his absence, As a family we now have some land to sell, me, him and the parents. What will happen to his 25% of the money? Can he have it paid to him abroad or will the CC company take it? Also will it affect me and the papernts?

I can’t find any information on how to pay bills. The Internet just doesn’t have anything on the subject. I want to learn so that when I move out I know how. What do you do when you get a bill and where do you go to mail it? If you have any links to websites that tell you about paying bills then please post them here.

My husband rips up credit card applications that we get in the mail. He thinks that if it doesn't contain our social security number that we don't need to worry about it.

I was wondering, if you have worked for several companies and you know you invested in 401K, is there like a centralized location where you can find out how much you have invested or would you have to contact each individual company?

How can I curb my spending habits and go out and just LOOK? How can I keep track of my spending and what I buy as well? Thanks!

...been tasked to put my mother's affairs in order, due to her being bed-ridden & terminal; my father, also her ex-husband, came to live with her, a few months ago, to help her be comfortable, & to handle her affairs. In the midst of attempting to do this, he has been made my mom's Power of Attorney. Unfortunately, my father has repeatedly succumbed to alcoholism (...this has been going on for about 4 years), & in the midst of trying to help my mom, & trying to 'keep clean', he has failed oh-so miserably, & has made himself more of a hinderance, than an asset. At this time, although having become a few days 'straight', he is not mentally capable of handling my mom's affairs. He made made himself a most unreliable element, in this respect....

...in attempting to handle my mom's affairs, is there any way that I can possibly effect any resolution in my mom's affairs, & become her Power of Attorney, in my father's stead?

...getting real frustrated, that I cannot do anything!
