The bank said it would take 48 hours to show up again but so far (after 4 days) it still isnt on my balance.

I had heard that the machines do swallow your money if you take to long to remove it from the dispenser, but until i actually saw this happening with my own eyes i didnt believe it.

I am 19 years old and I'm buying a new car for myself. I have no credit and no one will be co-signing the vehicle for me. I'm not exactly sure how all of it works but I know I have enough money in my account to purchase the car without having to finance. I don't know if the dealership will sell me the car because I have no credit history regardless of the fact that I have enough money to pay for it. Is it possible for me to just buy the car with cash though I don't have credit?

F. In many schools today some kids don't even have the option to take a financial education class as an elective in their high school. Some people argue that kids are already taking enough classes today as it is, why should they be forced to take another. But financial education seems to be as important as math, science, or history, perhaps even more important.

There is a large market out there and no one seems to want to tap it. Yes, it woud take a while to build but there are a lot of people, like me, who need help managing their finances -including credit issues, budgeting and retirement/investments - but we don't have the big bucks. Maybe if someone took the time to help us get there, we could be as profitable as the 'big' income guys. We just need someone to teach us how to get started. Maybe even a 'mentoring' service for the long term.

I know it's not the traditional financial advisor role but innovation and change - that's the name of the game. The game of making money.

There are other countries that save a higher percentage of their yearly income than Americans do on average. I'd rather be on the higher end for once. What reasonable things could I do to put aside a large portion of my income?

Please don't say "both."

I know the "return" is probably greater for paying off the credit card, but if I wait to start saving for retirement, will I ever really start?

I'm paying around $85 a year for the privilage of owning an Amercian Express gold card. I very rarely use it and I'd like to close the account. Because it is a charge card, and not a credit card, I don't have a preset limit. If I close this card, will it hurt my credit score? Creditors use the difference between your credit card balances and availabe credit to help determine your FICA score. I just can't figure out how a charge card plays into this equation....Any help here would be wonderful !!!
