I owe $1,500 on my credit card and now it was transferred to an attorney and I made an arrangement with them because I just wanted to take care of my debt. I started paying it Jan until Feb. but something came up but they don't want to lower my payment so I don't have any choice but not making any payments and they have my checking acct number and other info. They keep calling me that they will turn this case to Los Angeles county. What shoud i do?

I withdrew money from the bank. I just had three IRS refunds deposted so I had no idea how much money was in there. The balance after I withdrew the money from the inside teller was what I thought was in there. I then went and paid bills bought things I needed. I made big purchases. I then relized that they did not deduct what I withdrew. Now I am 1,000.00 overdrawn only $800. from the money I over spent but the $200.00 in fees. Can I be in trouble with the courts? I am paying it little by little.

If you were hired to do a job, which would only last for 30-days, and the person hiring you for that job said:

"...If you work for 30-days straight and finish this job on time, I'll pay you either a flat-one-time fee of $4 MILLION DOLLARS...OR...I'll pay you $0.01 on day one..and keep doubling that until the end of 30 days..day one $0.01, day two $0.02, day three $0.04, etc, etc....".....which option would you choose?

penalties. I know all about the penalties. I make $18,000 per year. I am now drawing on my line of credit to live. I have $140,000 for retirement in this IRA. I live frugally but with a mortage and the basics, and two girls in college - I am constantly short. Should I withdraw from my retirement account, pay off the mortgage ($65,000)? The reason I don't think I should leave this job is because of great benefits ($60 per month for a family) I'm divorced, also. I have also been putting into a retirement fund for 14 years. I work for a school district. I lay awake at night trying to decide what to do. Any advice for me?

About a month and a half ago I purchased dinner at IHOP with my checking acct check card. The transaction went on hold as is normal and eventually went off hold and I waited for them to take their money. After a month and a half, the money is still available in my account with no holds showing for this transaction. I want to close this account as I found a better one but I am afraid to since this transaction still has yet to clear. Does anyone know if there is a limit to how long a vendor can take before they can no longer legally take the money they owe? Should I keep the acct open?
