1746 dollars in a year is just 4.85 dollars a day.

No starter bucks, no movies out cut out one pizza a week. And if you drink a six pack a day you get to stop that also.

Think about your day and what your money goes to.

Also as a side note if your are under thirty and do this till you are 60 you will have over 1 million dollars.

I have a couple of friends that had to save a bunch of money. (over $5000) They went to a discount grocery (Sam's or Cosco) and bought candy and sodas then sold them to kids at school for a reasonable mark up. The school year isn't over and they've made over $3000 so far.

Another way is to go around your town where there are a lot of single family houses and offer to paint the house number on the curb for $10. You can use a spray paint and a stencil to make the background and numbers come out nice and neat. You could charge $15 for multi-colors or a special design. Write up a letter to introduce yourself and why you are raising the money.

Frankly I don't know that you can do that since from what I know you have to be 18 to get a job but occasionally there are a few jobs out there for 16 year olds. Anything you earn will have to be taxed and since you are under age your parents will have to pay the taxes for you to the IRS. Seeing that you have to get your parents involved anyway, why not read up on "junior achievement" and "4-H clubs" on the internet and see what kinds of things they learn and businesses they start and have your parents get a business license in their name. Perhaps you can run the computer part of it from home. I would suggest that whatever you do that you do it from home because there are dangers on the streets for young people these days. You'd be safer at home.
Maybe you could babysit in your home while your parents are home, and they will let you earn the money.

What I feel you need to do is baby sit and mow lawns. Mowing lawns would be a really good thing because if you work hard enough you can make your money all in the summer. Do not do the survey online things they never work trust me I have tried them all.

Babysit as much as possible or get a job hosting at restaurants. At 14 there's not much out there. I think McDonald's hires 14 year olds.

I never got that much, but I did get some money by showing the same tooth to several relatives. You'd be surprised how many times you can sell the same tooth.
