Will someone please suggest best way to lump credit card debt into one low interest payment?
I've got very good credit and no cards are ever overdue. I ususally pay more than minimum monthly but this is taking too long to wipe out debt of high APRs. I've asked my credit union about a personal loan (anywhere from 10.9% - 18% APR) and was told to call these ccard companies and get a 10 day payout figure. Is this the best way to lump them and pay less each month freeing up some cash? Can you suggest another way?
I'm thinking I'd like to get them paid off within 36-39 months.
Thanks

I have large debts and a very low income (due to various things that have went wrong in my life in the past year) and I have no money to file bankruptcy. I hear it costs 500 dollars which is what my rent costs and I have to choose rent over legal fees. I have nothing to sell to make money and work a job with a different schedule every week and also a very strict emloyer who goes on firing sprees all the time. It is not a bad job in the sense that I do make more than minimum wage so I can't afford to lose it. I have limited transportation which limits where I can get to as many businesses in my city are in areas with no bus service and I can't take off or be late for work under any circumstances. Is there any place to get free assistance and that useless credit counseling thing that is required? I know it is required although I do not believe in conselours of any type.

I'm 20 yrs old, female, and currently have been working at my job for 2 1/2 years. I make $10 an hour 35-40 hrs a week. I make an extra $80 a month cleaning a house. I have:car payment 115 a month, car insur. 184 a month, cell phone $60 month, internet $50 a month, gas for car 100-125 per month, and food expense for 100 a month. This means 634 for my base expenses.
I'm staying at home with my single mother and my 17 yr old brother. She's employed and he isn't. My mom has been in debt a long time, and I don't see any way out of it for her. She asks me to pay bills and I pay them. Half of one bill or all of another bill.I haven't been keeping track of how much I pay a month on the bills. I also contribute to the family's groceries. I feel like I pay too much and would actually be paying less on my own. I have a real fear that I won't be able to make it on my own, but on the other hand I want a place of my own. I want to own my own home in the future and also go to college.300 in savings.

I had a foreclosure in June 2006 because my wife and I both lost our jobs. Tried to work with mortgage company to no avail. My wife and I both have jobs now. My father has a house that was recently appraised at $90,000.00 but he will sell it to me for $60,000.00. Are there any lenders that will work with me on this even with bad credit and no money down?

So like I have an 18% card right. So what I'm trying to understand is how the bank charges me for that 18%. Like say I buy something on credit card for $40. Do they charge me the 18% at the end of the month or per purchase? I'm new to this and have no idea. O and if you have any heads up please tell. I already know not to lose it and don’t never over charge. Also don’t give out the number on the card and pay you’re bills on time. Anymore I should know please tell. Thanks. It's Bank of America.
