I don't really trust electronic money transactions anymore, there are too many opportunities for data theft.

Do you think cash will make a comeback?

I have been scammed big time out of $5,000. I have 2 kids to feed, a car payment, bills to pay and these people rip me off of $500!!!! Tell me why I tried to call them all day today and kept getting a voicemail that says "Mailbox is full. Try again later. Goodbye" I've left a voicemail with David Edwards, emailed him AND even called the company number and to no avail NOTHING!!!!! I dont understand why people like this do things to other people!! ITs just not fair to us that have been a victim of this kind of thing. I want to know if anyone actually did receive their loan through these people. If you have, please contact me and how long did it take?

I'm looking for one that allows me not only trade online in real time in exchange traded equities but also have the flexibility to invest in the widest possible range of OEICs/Funds and even Commercial Property. While low fees to boot would be nice, they are a secondary concern, I'm looking for flexibility.

Apparently, I have inherited some money from a family member.
The lawyer = not very nice. He told me these things usually take 6-9 months. Do they usually take this long? does he have a lot of paper work to fill-out or something? I don't know how these things work and he did a terrible job explaining it to me. Thanks!

I am thinking about unlocking some of my pension to buy a small car. Most of my adult life I have been denied the luxuries most people take for granted (holidays, social life, cars) as I've never been able to afford them. I have the opportunity to take a lump sum (not a huge amount) from my pension now - while I'm still young enough to enjoy it. Most of you will probably advise me against it as I will need the money when I'm older. As I may not be physically able then, to enjoy the things I can now should I not take advantage of this option now. What do you think?

Im married but currently live on my own through choice I've just arrived from spending a month in Jamaica yesterday. I bought land at a bargin price as the owner needed a quick sale and I want to build a house on it which is less than fifteen minutes drive from a beach. The problem is that I dont want to live with my wife who has the cash to a build house on it. She will need to return to Jamaica for couple of years to sort some things out and she doesn't wish to stay with her family out there , also there may be a problem down the line as she has put all the money In for the build if we were to split. The bottom line is I dont want to use her money or to have anyone having a hold over me. I could raise money from my property but my repayments are now fixed for the next three years also it would be double the repayment cost If I raised the cash that way which could cause me a problem if the interest rate raises In three years.

What can I do ??

Built my home 2 years ago, the first 6 months the house started to get orange spot all over the outside of it, the house is yellow. They came once that year and only did some touch up and said they would come back to finish the whole house. We called and called and they promised to come back but did not until last year and that was after I spoke with the owner and chewed him out, then he had the nerve enough to say, WE WILL BE THERE WHEN WE WILL! They show up months later, last Sept and did a small section again and said they would have it rapped up the following week, keep in mind all of our windows were and some still are covered in plastic. Still no sign of them and now they claim they will get to it this spring sometime! In the meantime all the model homes around my house are being painted in two days by the same guy which is our builders brother. Seems like once we closed on the house we are totally forgotten, they don't give a rats ***! What can I legally do to these people? My home is a little over 6 thousand sq ft and is nicer than all these model homes so you would think they would get mine done and over with.

This is my first home and I am totally lost as to what my rights are as a new home owner. Any advise would be greatly appreciated, you can also email me.

48 years old in Michigan. Took a lump-sum distribution of 40(k). Am I able to avoid paying income taxes if I make contributions to family members of $10,000 before April 15? Or can I accomplish the same if I contribute to Roth IRA or Roth 401(k).
