Why would you want to be looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life? Would your conscience allow you to steal?

Silly question, obviously it would. Hope you can live with yourself?

Your big problem, of course, is how to get the Bank to lend you the money in the first place .. and then how to get them hand it over in a way that can not be traced later ..

Lets assume by some miracle you get a £100,000 unsecured loan or overdraft ..

How are you going to get the money out of UK ?
Bank Transfer ? traceable, Cashiers Cheque ? traceable ...

You could try a 'hole in the wall' and withdraw it as cash ... with a max. withdrawal of £500 a day (most Banks allow less) £100,000 will take 200 days ... & you can be sure some-one is going to notice well before the end of the first week :-)

I guess you could try walking into the Bank and asking for it in used £20's (that's 5,000 notes = must be about a suitcase full) ... but even a Northern Rock cashier is going to smell a rat ...

... and I can just see you explaining to US Customs why you have £100,000 in your suitcase (not, of course, that you will have == those nice chaps at Heathrow who X-ray all the hold baggage will have relieved you of the problem - as, in fact, would the guys who hang around near cash machines ..)

One big problem faced by all criminals is other criminals ...

1) sounds like to want to desert the financial obligation to repay the loan back to the bank, which is classed as some what of a fraud. ( And its irresponsible behaviour like this that makes it hard for innocent people to borrow from banks)
2) Upon non-repayment the banks can track you through the courts and seize all your assets including your home by placing a charge on it, and can force you to sell or file for your bankruptcy.
My advice to you is find a home builder who will put the 5-10% ddeposit down for you, let out the property and move abroad.

Most banks have branches in the USA and so they would trace you. Tracing people is big business in the States too - you can do it on the Internet quite easily. You would be traced as soon as you bought a home. Then extradited back here for fraud.

Not unless you intend to register and work
