I can’t find any information on how to pay bills. The Internet just doesn’t have anything on the subject. I want to learn so that when I move out I know how. What do you do when you get a bill and where do you go to mail it? If you have any links to websites that tell you about paying bills then please post them here.

The best way to pay your bills is with "Bill Pay" through your bank. Start a bank account if you have not already and you can fill out all your information and the bills will be paid for you out of your account.

When you get the bill, they include an envelope for you to send back a check for the payment in. Or, if you have a bank or credit union account, you can sign up for paying your bills online. You input all your account information about the bill one time and then each month, all you have to do is put in the amount of the bill and the date you want it paid and the bank mails the payment for you. If the bill is the same exact amount every month, you can have it set up so it automatically sends that amount on a specific day each month.

Its very easy. Let's say that you use electricity. The electric company sends you a bill. It tells you what dates it covers, when its due, how much you owe, etc. Put all the bills in one convenient place in your "office". About a week before its due write a check and mail it to them, or do the on line bill pay thing... Very easy.

Mailboxes are all over the place. After you find a place to live, as you are driving to school or work, you'll see a mailbox...

ok the old fashioned way is when you get a bill say electric for example it will include a payment ticket that has your name and account number a lot of times they will include a envelope and there will be an address preprinted on your payment ticket. then you write the address your mailing it to in the middle of the envelope. your name and address goes in the top left corner. you put a stamp in the top right corner. get those at the post office. and put your check or money order in the envelope it helps to write your account # on the check......

or the much easier way. set up bill pay through your bank. all you have to do is enter your bill info once and its set. you have to enter address and account #. then you can set it up to come out of your checking account whateever date you set.

Believe me, this is a subject that you will not have a problem learning, people want their money and they will make it very clear where to send it, and when to give it, and how much. You just need to write it all down in one little spot, and keep track. Many banks will pay your bills for you, for a small fee. Its called bill pay, ask a banker and they will spend hours explaining it to you till you understand very well. Good luck.
