Help with a bankrupt?

My brother left the the uk owing a bit on credit cards, about 20 grand. He has never come to the UK and doesnt know if he's been made bankrupt in his absence, As a family we now have some land to sell, me, him and the parents. What will happen to his 25% of the money? Can he have it paid to him abroad or will the CC company take it? Also will it affect me and the papernts?

this is a corp and what kind of corp is it well all depend if are personal credit cards is his problem if are your credit cards you should talk to the bank or financial institution abut and paid the capital but not the interest ....
