It was a startup company which I was offered equity in. Several initial expense reports were paid but then we had a show which all of the charges were on my card and they never reimbursed me before going out of business. The amount of $100,000 is well more than I am capable or willing to pay back! I would sue but I don't believe they have any money or assets!!! What can I do? Declare Bankruptcy???

I had my debit card stolen...and someone used it...most likely someone i knew because you need the pin number. Someone really instrust worthy they spent like $300 on it so i called bank of america to get my money back because i didnt spent that. They sent me some afadavit that i have to sign and send back to them. They temporarly placed teh funds back in my account. What is the process they take to do this? Do they actually catch the crimminal or what? because they were tlelling me if i falsly claimed that i didnt do this that it or they dont find out who charged my card. That they could press crimminnal charges on me. But i didnt do these charges im jsut not paying for something i didnt pay for...

So how do they go about doing this process?
Will it stop being a temp amount and I get my money back?
Will they ever find out who did it?

I'm an Engineer who lives in California,
and I Design ComputerChips.
I lost my job a few months ago.
I have been looking very hard to line-up
more work and I have some possible jobs in the works.
Right now I am about 2months behind
on my car payments.
I have been talking to the creditor every week
to keep them in the loop on my job status.
I have-not been blowing them off in any way.
Yet I recently received a letter from them
saying that my failure to make payment arrangements
could result in my car being repoed.
Is there anything I can do to prevent that from happening
while I'm looking for another job?
Thanx!

I have tried to apply for a Wal-Mart credit card online, but it keeps saying I cannot use a post office box... we don't have a street address to where mail can be delivered. It seems like every credit card company says no PO boxes... what if I don't have anything else?

I have very bad credit. At least 3000 dollars worth of credit card and doctors bills. I am wanting to pay this off, and try to rebuild my credit. After everything is paid off, how long before the creditors(actually collection agencies in my case) take the points of of your credit, and do they even do this? Will it really help if I pay it off, or am I doomed? I want to buy a new house, new car, and get a credit card, but I cant ( even though I make good money) before I get married- which should be soon. I see creit repair agencies and debt consolidators, but have heard they make matters worse. I would like to pay off my debts, but if it doesnt help my credit score-I feel like I could spend the money on other things.( I am a single mother, while I make good money-I dont have it to throw around). Does anyone know what I should do?

What to say? What not to say? I really appreciate all the help I'm getting

I have a old closed account. It should be coming off my credit report in 2008, but I was told that it's 7 years from the last activity. and everytime it is bought from another company, that the 7 years starts over. Is there any laws protecting me? What can I do to stop this from happening and clear my name, other than paying for the account. (which isn't even mine, it was a dirty break up, not like the credit company cares. )

Say I have $30 on a visa gift card and I signed up for a free trial on a website. The website puts a pending charge of like 9.00 on my card that will go through only if I don't cancel the free trial. And say I decide I wanted to buy something else and it came to $30. Would it take all $30 on the card or would it only let me take out $21?
thanks

I had a bank account closed 4 months ago. After my single account was closed, I had NO business or account relationships of any type. I emailed the bank a QUESTION if their checking accounts included billpay; I made no subsequent application. As a result of that question by email, they pulled my credit AGAIN through ChexSystems. All Chex inquiries are HARD inquiries, in that they show up to subsequent inquirers. They used my customer information from when I had been a customer months earlier to do the pull; I didn’t give it to them when I asked my question by email. There was no contract in force and thus no reason to pull my credit. Credit should only be pulled when you APPLY or to REVIEW an EXISTING relationship. Is this an impermissible inquiry and if yes, what are my options? Representing myself, can I successfully sue them for $1000 for violating the FCRA Section 616? Should I file this in small claims court and if yes, would they be able to remove to Federal Court? Advice?

long story short there is a judgement against me and my parents. my parents never went to appeal it and i never even knew about it so the judge ordered in plaintiff's favor. now they levied my bank accounts, and there was a letter in the mail that in 10 days they can come and do a sherrif's sale on anything that we own(we are in new jersey). what do they do, do you have to have a warrant, can they just come when they please?
