I wouldn't be putting anything on them. I was just told it can help your credit score to keep them open for a while and not put anything on them. I just wanted to make sure this was good advice, because I hear so much about people closing their accounts.

I took three years off to go back to school full time, and did not have dental ins. I graduated last year and now have a decent paying job and have about 10k work of necessary (not cosmetic) dental work to be done. However, due to credit issues in the past, my credit score is not allowing me to get a typical personal loan to have the work done. My credit is getting better, but I was hoping someone might point me in a good direction. I know I will have to pay a higher interest rate, but I just need some good advice. Thanks in advance.

I have a credit card that I got through my job and I've been using it for a few months now. I want to find out what my credit score is but as far as I've seen everything requires a SS. (I'm Canadian btw, that's why I don't have a SS)

I'm about $4000 in debt currently. My rating is somewhere between 525-580 depending on the credit firm. My question is that is it better to pay it all back now or make payments to my creditors (not credit cards, more like hospital bills, payday loans, old acocunts) over a six month period? Which (or what) will help my rating rise quicker? I'd like to get it 700 by the spring. Is that possible? I may follow up this depending on the answers. Thanks!!!

I have a couple of credit cards I don't use, should i cancel the or not? I recently purchased a house, which caused my debt to available credit ratio to go up to 83%.

I've herd that you shouldn't keep more then two or three credit cards open. I have about six open right now and only use two of them (which i pay off every month).

Should i keep the credit cards open and keep the debt to available credit at 83% or should i cancell then ones i have so I less open lines of credit but then my debt to available credit will go up to around 94%

My Vantage Score is 849 (which i think is decent for being 25, but i'm not to familiar with the new scoring system)
Basically I want to do what is best to keep my score where it is at or improve it.

Hello,

How can I know if my business credit cards are personally guaranteed? I don't have copies of the original applications and I don't want to call the cards to ask (because it may impact me negatively). Is there something in the Terms & Conditions of the cards that I should look for?

I have 5 things on my credit report

2 current mortgages.
1 old mortgage paid off
1 credit card high balance
1 credit card paid in full.

I've was 30 days late on one of my mortgage once. of course that dropped my score. My credit score is low.

When can I expect to see a change in my credit score. To my surprise I applied for a loan an was denied.

Does anyone have any experience with the Green Dot prepaid mastercard. How does it work? Is it like a regular Mastercard? Can you use it for reservations for hotel or air-line tickets? Can you take out cash advance against it? Any information will be helpful. Thanks

I don't know anything about loans. All I know is my boyfriend has a ton of debt. All his loans, credit card bills and his truck plus my student loan comes to about 27,000 dollars... i'm only 20, he's 23... I know, it's bad. We REALLY want a loan to consolidate all of these things, but... can we get it? I have no credit whatsoever and he has very, very poor credit. But we both have pretty nice cars we could use as collateral, and we've been at each of our jobs for 2 years. My parents have excellent credit and said they would cosign... now, since we aren't married can we consilidate both our bills with one loan? And will my parents extremelly good credit be enough to get it? Oh, and will they let us pay a small payment for the next 15 years? Or are we pretty much screwed...

I am trying to find out how long it takes for your credit score to go up. I had some credit card debt and I was behind on payments for a few months due to health reasons and I was out of work but anyways, This month I have paid them all off. Some of the credit cards I did a settlement. How long does it take to show on my credit report that I have paid those off? And I am assuming that does help my credit score correct?

My tuition is due tonight at midnight. Me procrastinating, I deposited money into my bank account at 11:40 am this morning. I have to now use my debit card to pay off my tuition online tonight. Will the money be there for it to be debited or will I get an overdraft charge? The bank teller said that the check will deposit in my account tonight. I figured when I pay online it cannot immediately take it out of my account until the following morning. Am I wrong?
