I applied for a credit card and was approved online. This was on Saturday, Aug 4. How soon can I expect to receive my card in the mail?

Generally within a week to ten days. Rarely longer, but if you don't receive it within two weeks I would contact the card company and ask about it, so you will know that it is not in the wrong hands.

Normally, it takes between 3-10 days from the date of approval. Since today is August 16 (and you received the approval online on August 4 according to your statement), then it is now more than 10 days.
Therefore, I would suggest you call the credit card company or, better still, wait for another one or two days. You might receive it by then. Also check to make sure that your online application has your correct mailing address (no mistake).

Probably within 2 weeks.
Remember to only charge what you can afford to pay in full every month. Carrying a balance is not a good idea.
