I filed a bankruptcy 8 years ago. Chapter 7. I was told that if I write the bureaus a letter disputing this legitimate bankruptcy, That there is no way to legitimize the bankruptcy this far out and they will have to remove it off of my bureaus. Is this true?

I have 3 acres of raw land I would sell for the money but nothing is selling these days.

I would also consider trading it to someone who would cosign for me.

I make too much money to qualify for gov. assistance but not enough to qualify for a private loan.

I know I'm not the only one in this position. how are the poor people without good credit and without a "creditworthy" cosigner supose to go to college.

I applied for 2 credit cards in my name when I was 16 and of course I didnt realiize what a pain it is to pay on credit cards. I had a bank of america and Dell credit card. I used it for college but im not finished yet and cant afford the payments. Now I have negative stuff on my credit. Someone told me that I am not responsible for paying them back because i was not of legal age to be binded in a legal contract. I was just wanting to know if Im not responsible how would I go about getting it off my credit and letting the companies know.

I was wondering if a friend was to cosign for me on a vehicle would she have as much right to the vehicle as I do? If she cosigns does she still have say of when she gets to drive it? I just need a cosigner to get the vehicle because my credit is bad. But once she cosigns and I get the vehicle, I don't want her trying to say she can drive the car whenever or make those kind of decisions. As long as I make the payments on the vehicle, she doesnt have anymore say does she? Just curious. thanks

I tried checking my credit report using annualcreditreport.com and could not pull any of the 3 credit bureaus. All of them asked me for the name of the financial institution and monthly payments of a mortgage loan made in 2002. Since I have yet to purchase a home, I don't know the answers and therefore can't access my credit reports. How can I find out where this house is and who used my SSN to open an account? What should I do next?

I have a charge off on my credit but it is coming off next month. Can the collection agency put it back on your credit for another seven years? Or can they turn a charge off into a judgement? The car dealership charged if off but a collection aggency has it now it has been 7 years as of next month. The dealer has the car I turned it in on a lease. I had the option to buy but I decided not to and somehow how they charged me for the pay off 18,000 and I don't have the car anymore. I have just now learned it was on my credit and thought if it was coming off next month I wouldn't pursue it any longer. I don't know what to do about the whole situation I payed what I owed in full on the lease I didn't want to buy the car thats the only thing on my credit period. Help please!!

I felt sorry for my co-worker. I have known her for about 3 years. I would say I'm a friend but haven't hung out with her outside of work very often. She's going through a bitter divorce with her husband of 15 years. I have leant her money in the past when she's had trouble and always be given the money back in the timeframe she promised.

This time the amount she asked to borrow was rather large, $500 but she promised to have ot repaid in a week when our commission check was going to come in. She usually make triple the commissions I do so I knew she would have the money to give to me.

Well the next day after I lent her the money she wasn't at work. I asked her boss where she was and was told that she was absent for personal reasons. So I tried to call her, but no answer. Three weeks have gone by and she has neither answered her phone or come to the house door. She hasn't returned to work but they say she's gone for personal reasons but is still working for them????

Everytime I try to get a credit card or a loan they creep back up on me and i get denied. But they are now write offs so I don't know if it would even be worth paying them off (they total being under $2,000). They are from when I was 18 and stupid and I would pay them off but I have been told that they will still show up as being delinquent so it does not matter if I pay them off. Luckily my bank who I have been with since I was 16 will give me loans with the lowest interest rate they offer, but what if I need credit from another source at some time in my life. HELP!

I know these types of debt consolidation plans aren't very good for your credit but my credit is completely shot and I have a fair amount of debt.Just how bad does it look on my credit? What about after the debts are all paid off?Are they trustworthy and legitimate?Do they do as they promise? What was your experience with them? Are there plans reasonable so quality of life doesn't drop too badly?

I am tired of the nit-picking payments to mail every month so I am wanting to know which ones would be best to pay in full and close? Or get a new account with a balance transfer on some of these then close the accounts.

All have been paid on time. I am just sick of 7 different bills mailed each month plus utilities it makes it a check writing nightmare. Cortrust, First Premier, First Savings, and Credit One charge for online bill payment so it isn't worth it. The other ones I pay online most the time.

Thank you!

I don't have any credit cards of my own. My credit cards are all supplementary cards from my husband. I have 3 joint bank accounts with my husband. We have never had any trouble paying our bill. I have once applied for a credit card and got rejected due to the fact that I am new here and I do not have any income to support my credit card. I have recently received a job offer that requires credit check. My question is since I do not much of credit history and got rejected for credit card, will I have any problem for credit check? Will the company reject me for any reason? I have ordered my credit report with Equifax, which showed my mortgage Scotiabank. That's all it showed. I asked for my credit score, but they said that the information is not available. I need this job badly. Anything I can do about it? Any advice? Thank you.

I'm wondering how credit card companies calculate how much I can increase my credit limit. Do they base it off of annual income? I'm wondering if they'll approve a credit limit increase to 10,000 stones if I make 10,000 stones a year.
Thanks.

I'd like to be able to find out what my max credit limit is given 'x' factors.

I just got a new credit card, and I haven't used it yet. I was just wondering how many days you get after you receive a bill to pay it. With cell phones it's 30, but I figured I'd ask just to be safe. Sorry if it's kind of a dumb question.

Hypothetical situation. What if a wife believed that it was not necessary for her husband to have an itemized statement. Could she fix it in a way that it would not be itemized and he not know where all the charges originated. Also, would it be possible to fix it so the credit card company would not tell him where the charges originated from. Just wondering.
