We are having an argument with my roommates about what would happen if we all just leave the country and leave all of our debt behind. I think that eventually the creditors will sue you and then serve you papers in any country. My roommate thinks that they will allow you back into the country, but arrest you and send you to jail. Anyone know how we can settle this? (Ooo the crazy late night banter) Any knowledge would be appreciated!

He has been making the payments for 6 months. I would like for the fianance company to refianance the loan so the loan for the vehicle can be put in his name. I am worried that he could stop making payments at anytime because I am not able to get in contact with him anymore and he has not contacted me in over a month. He has not missed any payments this far. What should I do? I know I made a stupid move, but I was trying to be a caring and giving Christian. We all need some help every now and then.

I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty which I still owe payments on it was a Lease and I stopped paying for it more than a year ago, I know there were several attemps to repo it but they never located it. I moved about 6 hrs away from where they think I am ~ and I still have the car I live in California by the way, will they eventually stop looking for the car and give up and charge-off the debt or will they continue to look for it. The car brokedown and I have not used it in months but it's just sitting there and I am not sure if I should just wait for them to find it or wait for them to forget about it? I never inteded this to happen it just kinda has.

My friend is going to be 18 next month and she said that she would cosign for a debit card. I am currently 17. The debit card I want to get either requires you to be 18 or a joint account with right of survivorship in which the debit card has to be in the person's name who is 18 and the other person signs. My question is will the joint with right of survivorship work out considering that she is 18 and I am 17?

one other detail: you only have to be 17 to own your own checking account at my bank.

I'm scared. I'm 21 and I'm in debt about $4,000.

Now, I have a Credit Card with HSBC and I'm really overdue because job situation but now I have been able to pay like $20 a month (the min. payment is $ 135) for this month.

I just got a letter from them saying if I don't pay this, it will go to collections and they will pursue this case to get the collection of this account.

I'm scared, I don't want to go to jail for a credit card. What are the laws and stuff and what can they do to me? It's not like I'm NOT paying at all, I'm giving what I can. Please help me.

I have a civil judgment that is 8years old.Now the man is coming forward and wants to get paid. I look on the Superior Court Case Summary to see what is going on with my case. I found out he try to file papers on me and didn't file them correctly. The status of my judgment is DISPOSED OF JUDGMENT> What does that mean? Please respond only if you know the answer or if advice is correct. Also I offered to pay him some money so that he can leave me alone and this judgement will not show on my credit report. Oh! yes it was on my credit report BUT it has been 8 years and it is no longer showing on my credit report. Should I still offer to pay him? What if he can refile on me? Is that possible. Help please,. thanks
