I am behind on my car payment by 1032.50 and the best I can do for now is give them 300.00 tomorrow. The Well Fargo representative threatened me, harrassed me and scolded me. I told her we are waiting for our W-2 to come in the mail so we file our taxes. Refund can pay off the balance we owe. Not the whole loan but it would bring us current. I also told her we would be taking an AD out in the paper too to see about selling the car. She went into a rant about how stupid I am and why didnt I do this months ago when my husband lost his job. I told her our situation and all I got was too bad lady we will take the car. What options do I have?

I've racked up quite a lot of debt due to internet gambling. I have quit gambling all together but now I'm stuck with paying off my bills. I'm a college student and have no money right now ~ I graduate in May. I paid on my cards as much as I could at first but the interest rates are so high that I haven't been able to pay on them. Most of my accounts have been turned over to collection agencies. What should I do here? I'll be able to pay when I graduate, but I'm worried about what will happen until then.

How long does it normally take for the bill to show up on your online statement? For example, you purchase an item on credit, will it show that on ur statement immediately or does it take time?

I owe about $12,000 in credit card debt and I wanted to make that my year's goal to pay it off, but a lot of the websites I find require that you own a home, or charge a huge interest for someone to "negotiate" with your creditors to bring down interest. Does anyone know of a good resource where I can just consolidate the debt and make one reasonable payment?

A friend declared Chapter 7 Bankruptcy last fall before the law change, and his debts were cleared and honestly I cant really say if it is a good idea or not for him to apply for a car loan as his first application for credit of any kind post-bankruptcy. I would tell him to look into credit counciling, but every site I have seen has some kind of a catch or is not entirely unbiased. The loan amount he wants is 15K for a late model used car. His income to debt ratio is excellent now, unlike a year ago when he was not recieving his pension.

Any advice for him considering it is roughly six months since his Chapter 7 bankruptcy discharge and if applying for a car loan is fine at this point?

I have signed a 3 -yrs contract with a debt consolidation company, but last week I received a call which was from the credit card company. They said they denied the "deal" (honestly, I didn't get what they said), and they would sue me if I didn't pay the balance right away. Then I called the debt consolidation company, they said the credit card company was only threatening me. But I am worrying whether it is true, or the debt consolidation didn't want me to cut the payment I paid them every month?

Another question: Anyone know the formula of credit card finance charge?

I am not too far in, I owe a total of 3,000 for all of my credit cards and some other bills. I make a good living, for being in college... but Im just wondering whats the easiest way to go about it, like should I try to pay the lower rate cards first, or the cards with the lowest balance? Thanks!

My fiance and I are interested in a home but the home is priced at more than what we are wanting to pay per month. I know if we can get a better interest rate then the payments won't be as bad.. We have worked really hard on his credit lately (his ex-wife did not get their home out of his name after the divorce, late payments, etc) We refinanced the home after taking her to court and sold it a month later.. I think his credit score is in the mid 600's maybe low 600's.. I wonder what his interest rate will be on purchasing a new home? Does anybody have any advice?

ok, my situation is that I have a huge amount of credit card debt and a few other loans. I am not a "big spender" and financially responsible but a few "curve-balls" that life has thrown me has left me in a hole I don't know if I can climb out.

What I am hoping to do is either do a debt consolidation loan or maybe 2nd mortage. I own a home but other family members stay there and I was hoping to one day own one for myself.

So I guess my question is what are some of the pros and cons of debt consolidation. What would I do or need to do to take out a home equity loan?
