I suggest read, read, read. The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey gives you steps to take with dealing with creditors. If they are credit card companies, only talk to them once every 2 weeks, send them in what you can but ALWAYS pay your rent/mortgage, food, electric/gas/heat and car (if you need it to get to work) FIRST before credit cards. Credit card collectors are the worst because they hound you so bad.

Read "The Total Money Makeover" for more ideas on how to get out of this. His book will give you hope. He had one person he counseled that kept the creditors at bay by paying $2 a month on the debt until s/he could pay more each month about a year later.

Do you own a home? Or are you trying for a personal loan? If it's a personal loan without a security instrument, then you probably won't find a lender, but you could try prosper.com.

If you do own a home you should try a mortgage broker, a lot of them have programs specifically for people with bad credit (I, myself, have programs available for most people, even if they have a credit score below 500, as long as they have enough equity in their home).

Either way, I wish you luck. If you have any more questions, or want some more information on the mortgage side of this, email me or check out our website.

Thanks,
Kevin

If you have a steady job there are lenders who will help you out when ever you get these invitational letters in the mail call their 800# and talk to them they are the best ones to start with keep trying them you will succeed but you have to try, and if you get through dont let down your self try to pay your bills on time and dont be tempted to incurr more debts. Good luck.
