I've lost most of my personal records in a fire, and I need the dates for my past jobs for my resume`; I've read that you can be fired if you put false information on your resume`, but I only have a rough idea of when I started and left each job.

Or should I rather ask, what's a good way to be assertive to your boss without causing a conflict? If I feel as thought I'm being treated unfairly, how do I say no and express my reasoning? I work in a restuaruant and when there is no one on schedule whose only assigned to clean up the lobby, I'm usually the only one who is picked to do it. I think it's a personal issue or because I'm a guy. I remember recently I clocked out and I stayed 30 minutes over my schedule doing someone else's job. The lobby looked a mess and my boss came in and "told (not asked)" me to clock back in and get the lobby cleaned. Now keep in mind my shift is over, so the lobby is the third shifts problem. I had things to do and I was already late for a rehearsal, so I finally worked up a nerve to tell her I had to go.

This is a "what if" scenario: I interview for a position that is located in a city that is 900 miles away. I get offered the position. When do you think they would expect me to start? I know that I would have to pack up and move. If they offer relocation assistance, would that effect the date of the first day on the job? What type of relocation assistance do most companies offer? What if you own a home that may take a long time to sell? Thanks in advance for as much information as possible!

Is it absolutely necessary to wear a suit with a jacket on an interview? If so, can the blouse be untucked and the jacket open? I can't stand the jacket. They are short and my stomach isn't flat. It makes me self-conscious and uncomfortable. Any ideas? Both would be neatly pressed. I am not a sloppy person.

My colleague got a promotion and her old job is up for grabs. I'm bascially her understudy and I was very interested in the job in the beginning and I expressed my interest to my boss. My boss didn't seem too impressed with me as far as taking over and I figured that management was probably looking at other options, which was fine, though I couldn't understand why I wasn't at all being considered. In the meantime, I did some soul searching of my own and realized I really don't want the position, though I do want the money, and have decided to look outside my department for other options in the future. As it turns out I'm now being considered for the job, I think they're desperate, but I no longer want it. Will it look bad if I still don't apply for it because I'm no longer interested? Should I apply?

Im getting laid off from my current job but I am going in for an interview at JCPenney for loss prevention. I have no retail or LP experience but they want me for an interview anyways so that is good. But I know my chances of getting the job are smaller because of the lack of experience. Should I use the fact that I catch on quickly to new things? At my current job I had no experience going in, and all I did was pack parts into a box and tape it up (very easy and simple) but the supervisors wanted me to run their biggest, most productive press after working there for a month. So maybe I could use that example to pursuade them to hire me. Give me some good ideas, anything should be helpful.

On walking into the factory, the MD noticed a young guy leaning against the wall, doing nothing.

He approached the young man and calmly said to him. How much do you earn?" The young man was quite amazed that he was asked such a personal question, he replied, none the less, "I earn $ 2,000.00 a month, Sir. Why?"

Without answering, the MD took out his wallet and removed
$ 6000.00 cash. And gave it to the young man and said, "Around here I pay people for working, not for standing around looking pretty! Here is 3 months' salary, now GET OUT and don't come back".

The young man turned around and was quickly out of sight. Noticing a few onlookers, the MD said in a very upset manner, "And that applies for everybody in this company".

He approached one of the onlookers and asked him, "Who 's the young man that I just fired ?" To which an amazing reply came of, "He was the Pizza delivery boy"!

Hi everyone,

What do you think about my life? How can I improve it? (Sorry for the poor grammar--English is my second language.)

I am 22 years old. I am a lower middle class. I am a virgin. I am a good person. I am studying full-time (last year in a Master's program) I am working two part-time jobs. I want to save my money ;therefore, I have no cars, no phones, and living in a little room. I hardly have a social life because I am spending my time working and studying.

Sometimes, I am proud of myself because I will have my master's without debts or student loans. Sometimes, I feel so discourage and down to see other people my age have fun and enjoy life while I have to work so hard.

What do you think? Please advice. Thank you so much for your kindness.

I just started working for a great company two weeks ago. And I'm really excited about my new job -- However my boss who btw is really handsome, Is a little hard to read. I suspect that he’s attracted to me by the way he looks at me. If I don't react to his subtle suggestive behavior - will he fire me?
Help: What do you suppose I do...I really like my new job, and don’t want to jeopardize it?
Should I tell him I am attracted to him too, but would never pursue this type of relationship at work. Or flirt or come on time on the job. I am really not that type of person. Besides he's married with children. I am not married and do not have children, but would never even consider having an affair with my boss.
Every time I walk into his office I notice the beautiful pictures of his wife; but I can’t look at them…it just makes me feel really bad. One night working late in the office my boss -- while no other employees were around - My boss walks slowly pass my desk and groans sexually like he's was getting off!

Is this just all in my head, or is this some type of weird office attraction?
Should I give it a few more weeks to decide if it's really an attraction, because maybe he was just tired because it was late???

Or maybe he just looks at everyone the way he looks at me like he’s having some type of deep thought? Is it I who is crazy or what’s really going on here?
