It may take longer to become a doctor, but pretty much all doctors I've been to, seem to move at there own pace and do things on their own time schedule.
Air traffic controllers have to be ready and alert all the time, and pretty much don't control how busy they are.

Doctor, by far. Air traffic controller? Really? It's an important job, but being a doctor means putting yourself on the line with every patient. And if you mess up enough times, good intentions regardless, it's game over. I can't think of a more stressful job than being a doctor.

There are all different kinds of doctors. Some have to be on call even when their not in the office. Being a doctor has its costs and its rewards: it pays well, there's a lot of insurance paperwork to deal with, its not easy, but you can really help some people.
