Most jobs have slackers. There's always someone who wants to see how far they can go. They only end up hurting themselves, even if they don't realize it at the moment. Sometimes management will let it ride, but believe me, they notice. Slackers don't get far in life.

There are a few that have gotten away with it for a number of years. But now management is slowly cracking down. One got fired and another got a written warning. Everyone is hoping that she is going soon because she is not just a slacker but an abusive person too. My suggestion is to keep complaining to HR. It may take some time but with enough complaints they do end up doing something.

I'm self-employed. I've been through the wringer this week. I'm tired and my body hurts all over. I lost a helper who felt entitled to the company's entire bank account. $30 an hour just wasn't enough for them. They raised hell that they had been busting their hump when really, they just stood around and watched me work mostly. Then, in line with their lord Obama's teachings, they decided that I was "the man" and that I was ripping them off somehow. And then they decided to cost me more aggravation by chasing them around trying to get them paid in full so they could go back to where they came from and quit slandering the company. Their actions bordering on extortion. Never hire a liberal.

if they always slack I am sure they will be terminated after one or two warnings from management.

I give one warning, since everyone has bad days. Then if I see it again I fire them.
