Is there a way I can find out my own job history easily?

I've lost most of my personal records in a fire, and I need the dates for my past jobs for my resume`; I've read that you can be fired if you put false information on your resume`, but I only have a rough idea of when I started and left each job.

Go down to the unemployment office .
They have records because of all the payments from each employer .
