I don't have much experience with interviews and orientations since I'm new to the job search...any ideas would help.

In this case I wouldn't think a suit and tie would be in order. Probably a clean, ironed shirt (maybe short-sleeved), and some slacks (as opposed to jeans), a fresh shave, and don't forget to shine your shoes.

Although you will be dressed differently on the job, you need to show respect for the interviewer.

Dress respectively, the job will be work cloths oriented so they don't expect you to show up in a suit and tie. At the same time, don't show up wearing those baggy pants that hang off your A-- and a tank top.
