Is it unheard of to get a payrise, even if it is only small?

Shall I expect a payrise?

Or am I in dreamland?

Thanks

I am applying for several new jobs and I do have my degree, but they cannot release it to my as I have not yet cleared up my debt with the University I went to.

Will a new company ask to see proof or a copy of my degree before hiring me?

This probably sounds like generally a stupid question to even ask.

I work part-time, but at the moment I'm working nearly full-time hours. 34-36 hours a week, and it's a bit too much for me. I have too much going on in life, but the thing is, I know that I'm needed at work. This is just a part-time job for this year while I attend to some things and research more about courses for next year. My employers seem pretty set on having me in at these hours, but I honestly cannot do it anymore. It may seem low, but I really need 20-25 hours a week, and nothing more.

At least now in my life.

How do I go about bringing this up in the most polite way I can?

I'm nervous when it comes to these things.

I'd consider this sexual harrassment... I was at work the other day. I went to use the washroom, while in there an older man 30-40 walked in. I was in the stall, of course, and he started called me stuff like, ******, and I was just like, what the hell. It was probably the most uncomfortable moment in my entire life, especially because I was in the bathroom.

Anyways, the guy must have used the urinal. He washed up, and then threw his pissy paper towel over the stall at me, and turned the lights off, and called me a ****** again. I mean. Clearly the guy had something terminally wrong with him. No one does that, and I'm still scarred. Like seriously. I can't even use that washroom anymore. I go to another one, because that wasn't just awkward, I felt so violated.

I haven't told my employers yet, because I'm not one to start one, but I'm seriously considering quitting now just because I feel so uncomfortable.

What would you do?

No this isn't a joke.

I understand on how important the credit score is when applying for an unsecured loan, a home, financing a car or trying to get a credit card but why is it a factor for job consideration? So any Human Resource people and/or Hiring Managers care to respond and explain why a person's credit score even comes into play?

I had an interview yesterday with a company that I KNOW I would be perfect for. I went in nervous, as always, and didn't think I did all that well, but was called for a second interview with the CEO. I go in next week. Can anyone give me some tips so I can ace this interview?

Work related question. If you stumbled into a help wanted ad and in your gut you know you can do the job standing on your head, however your resume doesn't live up to the job discription and you've been without work for say 2 years, would it be useless to apply? At this point I feel hopeless, I tell myself why even bother I already know the routine.

I have been working at my part-time job for 3 weeks. I do not like it at all. It is my first job of this type and none of my 3 supervisors respond to my emails or return my phone calls when I have questions. I do not know what I am supposed to be doing and I can't get any help.

My question is, if I find another job, is it absolutly necessary to give 2 weeks notice? I'm afriad if I give 2 weeks notice things will be miserable and awkward for those 2 weeks. Is it ok to just quit one day?

I'm trying to do something with my life, and I have narrowed my interest down to these three topics.

Which one do you think I should pursue?

Which one would be the best career choice? And, why?

Which one would I have the best chance to get a steady job in?

Thanks!

I was offered with the verbal agreement a part time 25 hour week position. As the interview progressed i was told i would need to work two 12 hour days though. I initially let her know I could not work more than 25 hours a week as I had Domestic and leisure activities to tend to. So now I'm unemployed. Are there any legal excuses I can tell a manger and get away with it? I've contacted the state labor boards and find no answers. Please assist me with this. Screwed in Oregon.

I've been there for almost 2 months. I still feel stupid when I have to ask questions about certain things. I always feel like I'm not doing things right or making mistakes. There's never enough help to do everything. I work at a pharmacy and I feel prescriptions, etc. and also work the register at the pharm. counter. I have to work soon today and I haven't been in since Sunday. I'm absolutely DREADING going in today and I'm getting all anxious over it. Should I find a job someplace else?

The job I really want is a Technical Support Person with regular work hours..all I have to do is review the manuals HR gave me and let them know by Monday...although I'm familiar with the product...I'd have to learn some electric and wiring set up...not to do it but to troubleshoot if someone called which would be set up like a procedural system...I'm figuring you should be able to learn most anything in 3 months...(my trial period)

The other job...well....I already know I can do it...Store Management....the hiring manager called back with a counter offer even after I'd given the courtesy call to refuse their offer...to be honest I've already given them their answer....I want normal working hours, I do not want a job to become my life ever again...and this being a new business venture...what happens if this man decides to bail.........Am I obligated to talk with this man....Haven't I shown professional courtesy?????
