Has anyone ever registered with any of these online companies that pay you to take surveys? Any links to reputable sites?

I'm a student living at home, but classes and school take up most of my time, so I don't have the time to have a job. But I'm looking to have at least some money of my own.

Any information or experience with these surveys would be appreciated, thanks.

I'm going to try to cut to the chase; let's be honest--no one REALLY wants to read a wall-o-text to try to figure out what the heck a person is trying to say.

Basically it's this: I have a degree in communications. It's now time that I go out and find a job. One of the jobs I am considering requests skills in accounting. I've never taken a class, though my mother was an accountant while I was in junior high and I often assisted her. In addition I am intending on taking accounting classes through a local juco in the spring.

This is part-time position working for a small, 100 member church.

Knowing this, should I send my resume or shrug it off and keep looking for something else?

Say, I accepted a job from company A and signed the contract for it, and the job will start in 2 weeks.
But then a day later coincidentally I got a better (closer to my career goals and skills) job offer from company B.
So I tell the guy from company A that I'd like to cancel the job offer and move on (to company B of course).
Is that illegal? Would company A sue me or something?? (the job contract only says that as an employee, I'd be asked to provide a 2 week notice should at any time I wish to terminate.)

I know this was a stupid mistake and morally wrong so here it goes.
I conducted fraudulent refund transactions to myself totaling close to $400 on my cash register. I used the money to pay for rent and my tuition at school.i was desperate for i was afraid i wasn't gonna make it financially. Well over a month later a rep from loss prevention confronted me in my boss's office with evidence and logs of all the transactions. i could not help but admit my guilt..telling him everything from how i did it to what i used the money for. I agreed to pay back all the money i stole.
A few days later i came into my boss's office and he told me that b/c of my cooperation, HEB will not file charges against me, but they have no choice but to term. my employment. He also said HEB can never tell a potential employer why i left, only when i worked there. My quests: 1. Will this be on my record and for how long, 2. How hard is it to get another job after something like this, 3. Words of wisdom i could use?

I recently changed to another job in another section of where I work for more money and the experience. The new job is totally different job and it's like I'm starting all over again. I was at my first job for over 15 years and I'm in a department where some of my co-workers resent my being there because I have seniority and have a choice over where I can work, holidays, etc.. I want to get along and make friends but they shun me. There are a few who help me and are nice to me but most of them don't help me tell me the right way to do things and laugh when I make mistakes. There's word that they are forcing me to quit and go back where I came from. The boss is really busy and has a 'just deal with it' attitude. I'm not a quitter and I won't give in, but everyday is more stress on top of the job itself. I have no intention of throwing my seniority around, but you can't tell them that. It's been a few months now and those bastards haven't let up. Any advice. Thanks.

I'm 26 years old. I grew up in a small town with my grandparents til i was 19. I then came to toronto for work, even though i have no skill or trade. I worked as a collection officer and did a lot of labour work as well. I've always been a big party animal and now i'm feeling and seeing the repercussions. I want to straighten out before its too late. I've stopped the drugs and alcohol along with the late nights and i want to get a career started. I now live in a one bedroom apt with my girlfriend and pets. My girlfriend has been supporting us since we basically met because of my antics. The only jobs i can seem to get is factory work making 12.00 an hour which is not enough to support us anymore. I left highschool 2 credits shy of my diploma, both are elective credits. I'm not sure if i need to do a equivalency test now to obtain a diploma.(no direction) I've recently decided i would like to get into law enforcement, policeman or something on those lines. Not sure how to get started.

I hate my job. As a client services representative, I talk to people all day who are getting money from the payout of a life insurance policy. They are upset about the death of a loved one, greedy for the money and rude. They call me every name in the book with no censorship at all. I am paid $12.26 per hour and constantly find myself loaded with additional work. I really hate this job and want to find something different. I am even considering taking a teaching job for $8 per hour at my son’s after school program just to get away from these crazy people. What would you do?

I'm a junior in college studying communications with emphasis in public relations and photography, and a minor in international business. i've also had 3 semesters of statistics and 3 semesters of french. ive also been really involved on campus such as worked for the admissions office, campus news station, done service projects, and i studied abroad in france for a semester. I'm thinking of switching my major to public relations because it seems like that is a more marketable major. I was also wondering if you would recommend getting a full minor in statistics vs. only 3 semesters of it, or if 3 semesters is enough to make me more marketable? I'm not entirely sure what I want to do once I'm done with college, or what options there are for a communications major, but I want to have a good job in a city once I'm done. Suggestions? Is my degree strong?

I can understand not coming to work all dirty and stinky or not coming to work dressed to go to the beach or something. But, why do people have to get so darned dressed up in suits and their hair done conservatively or whatever to go to work? Why not just some jeans and t-shirts or something?

I have always been ambitious. When i was 13 i got my first job and have been working since then. I went to school and got my AAS in medical assisting in my 20's and even started a brief cleaning business, but now in my early 30's i am making less money than i did in my 20's and i am beginning to feel like i am getting further away from what i was intended do on this earth. I just cant figure it out. How should i go about in retracking my life and finding work that is suitable. At this age now i dont think i want to work for anyone anymore, but i do know that starting a business cost money, which i dont have.

That person drinks alot every night,

That likes sleeping til noon,

That isn't afraid to get his hands dirty,

That needs at least 500 a week to get by.

That is a non-conformist and does things his own way. . .

What job would fit that person?

I am pretty authorative ...I know I am. I have even noticed it. I can also be a little dictative. I am a leader, always have been. I am on a new job that I have been with for a couple of months. The job is actually a new company that needs some leadership..however, my boss seems figity around me sometimes or uptight almost like he feels uncomfortable around me and not at ease. I bring my ideas to him across the table and he goes along almost every time. I feel that I may be coming across as demanding or dictative like Im over him ...how do I act like a lady and remain an employee rather than being overbearing and pushy?
