say that those are the nights your parents have you over for dinner and you cannot get out of them as your mum is rather old fashioned and she cant get too agitated, that you worry about her health. It is family night with my kids and I cant be there at that time no exceptions, my half sister from germany is in the military and those are the nights she calls and I have to be home to get the call as she calls on my house phone.

Don't give them an excuse, just tell them at the interview that on such and such nights that you would only be available for half a shift. They can then decide if that will work for them. If they prey, which legally they shouldn't, just say it is a prior personal commitment. I commend you for working two jobs! Good luck

I would just say "i have a series of doctors appointments scheduled"... if they say "for what"... I'd just say "I'd rather not discuss it if you don't mind...." I would refrain from lying... and if you feel you have to lie... I'd ask the shrink why you feel that way when you get there...lol...
... if you're HELL bent on lying...
... it could be for "physical therapy" from a car accident you were in ...
... it could be that you have to watch a niece or nephew while your sister or brother go to the shrink...
... it could be that you have to see your parole officer...( hehe )...
... it could be a class you're taking...
... it could be that you help cover a relatives store a couple of nights a month to give them a break...
... that's about all it could be...
... good luck...

You are not entitled to let them know why you need special accomodations. All you have to say is "it's personal" and by law I believe they have to respect it. If you want to give them another excuse then tell them you are going to school because it's not like you have to proove that to them. Good luck!

You do not need an excuse, if you are a grown up.
Just tell them that you are not available during those times.
Tell them that there is something that you have to do, and would rather not discuss it.

You don't have to tell your employer anything if you don't want to. Ask your doctor if he/she can work some other time out.
