This guy I know just got a job at Burlington coat factory. He say's he needs $15 to get his ID badge and walkie talkie and said they use to take it out of your paycheck but people weren't making it to their first paycheck so now you have to pay it up front. He doesn't keep this walkie talkie. Something about this just doesn't seem right and I don't want to hand out $15 dollars if this is a lie. Does this seem wired to anyone? Everyplace I worked you didn't have to pay anything for this type of stuff.

This might be a really stupid question, but I'm inexperienced! I need to put something for "date available." I'm available any time, I guess, but I don't know a professional way to put that. "Anytime" just doesn't sound right, so what would be a better way to say that? I don't really have a specific date in mind. Thanks.

I'm 21 and good looking and I really need a second job. I'm sort of feminist and I don't really like the idea of walking around in sexy clothes and getting paid for it, but I think since it's not stripping or anything like that, then I could probably handle it. I work odd hours at a cleaning business during the morning and early afternoon and that's why Its hard for me to find a second part-time job because it has to be at night. I was thinking a restaurant would be my only option--I can't really handle insane places however like coney islands though, because I was bad at it. Should I give it a try? I don't plan on working there forever but I heard they make GREAT money.

I finally had it with my boss last night when she came in on her day off and was joking with a customer about how long it was taking me to get his whole chickens marked and ready for him. So I left my uniform and that with a note that she will see this morning. There are other reasons I left (including 6 days a week after I said I couldn't do it three months ago) but I need to know what to put on my new applications I send out Monday. I worked there for 4 months. I am a single parent and hadn't worked for the past 3 years (I worked from home freelancing) and need a current reference. How should I explain why I left without notice?

I graduated college four years ago (well sort of). I did participate in graduation although I am missing 1 credit due to my advisor screwing up. I still have yet to make up that credit though.
I left my last employer for a new job offer, but the background check included calling my college to verify (of course I said that I graduated). So, that job is no longer mine!

My question is, I now have another job offer...what are the chances that this could happen again?!

i am possibly interested in going to school for sonography/ultrasound technology.

i need to know what types of courses to expect, and is the courseload very heavy on math/science (not my strongest areas but if it's not TOO intense in these areas i think i can do it)
Also, is it imperative that i take ONLY an accredited program? or is it actually conceivable that i will get a job if i go to a school or institute where the program is not accredited? I've been told that if you take non-accredited classes you have to find work in the field & intern for a year before testing. But does anyone actually do this? I mean is it possible to get a job this way or are those programs just scams? i don't want to end up jobless w/a worthless degree.
if anyone has experience & can give me any insight i would really appreciate it! thanks in advance!

I just took a job for a Network Support Specialist and I am close to having my degree in information technology. During my interview the director ask me if I could install software, change print cartridges, change internal pc hardware, and set up email accounts.

I can do all of the above and the pay is great but from the duties described doesn't the job actually sound like a simple Tech Support, or computer support specialist job?

Also the company has over 400 pc's but still to me this sounds like a cake job and will be very easy for someone with my experiance, what do you think?

BTW I am pumped about the job and can't wait till the first monday of January to start.

A President and CEO of a company emailed me that he was impressed with my resume and asked me to come in for interview. So I did. He told m that out of around 100s of resume, my resume was one that attracted them. During the interview, he asked me, How is my computer skills. I said I am okay, good enough. He asked me what is my salary level desired. I told him whatever you posted on the website. That was just it. Then they asked me if I have any question. I told them not really and I told them that I would ask question as I work for them. If they liked my resume but they didnt ask too much question during the interview, will I mostly like to be hired? if you are boss what do you think? Any interview experiences?
