A President and CEO of a company emailed me that he was impressed with my resume and asked me to come in for interview. So I did. He told m that out of around 100s of resume, my resume was one that attracted them. During the interview, he asked me, How is my computer skills. I said I am okay, good enough. He asked me what is my salary level desired. I told him whatever you posted on the website. That was just it. Then they asked me if I have any question. I told them not really and I told them that I would ask question as I work for them. If they liked my resume but they didnt ask too much question during the interview, will I mostly like to be hired? if you are boss what do you think? Any interview experiences?

Based on your answers to the questions asked by the company, I would think that you may not get the position. And you seem young.

When interviewers ask questions they want feed back. You have to atleast act like you are interested in the position. Here are some answers I would have used:

How are your computer skills? - Tell them what you have knowledge and experience in, how many years you have used it and how recent you used the programs.

Salary Level? Do research on the position and payrates in your town. Then ask what is the rate that is alloted for the position. If you know that you have skills that are more then what they are asking, then you can haggle for what you want. Be prepared though to follow through with what you presented yourself as during the interview. Don't lie about what you can do.

When asked if you have any questions, you should always research any company you are going to interview for. Whether it is working in a corner store or a top 500 company. So when they ask this question you can ask further about what you read about the company, what they do, their mission.

Always remember, when you go to an interview you are not only being checked out by them, but you should be checking them out too. You may find that it isn't exactly the company you want to work for, or your views don't match theirs, or that the position also requires you to do things that are not spelled out clearly in the job description. Like, other duties could mean that you have to clean the toilets every other Friday. If you don't ask, you will be mad at yourself later and just end up quitting!

Good luck!

I do not believe you presented yourself well enough to be a serious candidate for this position. Your answer about your computer skills was underwhelming and vague. Your answer to the salary question was an opening for you to discuss your worth, instead you avoided and gave an answer that was borderline disrespectful.
If you were not interested or prepared enough to ask questions during the interview, I would not be inclined to offer you the position.
You have to be sharper and on top of your game when you are interviewing. There are many candidates you are competing against.
Sorry, if I were interviewing you, I would pass on you.

Did you do a follow-up call for the status of your interview...from the question you wrote - I would suggest the next interview (or even in your thank you note you stress what your skills are and etc information to leave this area in a very positive answerer...companies are looking for the best there is out of all their interviews..

Good luck

I don't want to be mean but based on what you wrote it shows that you have a passion for the job but you lack serious skills In spelling and grammar. I would always know what you applied for especially what the job posting said ( salary and what not) And when they asked you how your computer skills were I would have said something to the extent of yes I know how to use the basic functions of the computer if that's the truth. The way your answered it made you sound ignorant and snotty.

no sweetie you blow it big time. you answer were not in line with your resume. good enough. the answer should have been my computer skills are intermediate but am working to improve that something along those lines. salary level answer should have been mid to low 50s or whatever you want but its negotiable. you need to follow up with a thank you letter via email for them taking the time to interview with you. but i really dont think you got that one but you will get the next one if you brush up on some interviewing techniques. GodBless
