A President and CEO of a company emailed me that he was impressed with my resume and asked me to come in for interview. So I did. He told m that out of around 100s of resume, my resume was one that attracted them. During the interview, he asked me, How is my computer skills. I said I am okay, good enough. He asked me what is my salary level desired. I told him whatever you posted on the website. That was just it. Then they asked me if I have any question. I told them not really and I told them that I would ask question as I work for them. If they liked my resume but they didnt ask too much question during the interview, will I mostly like to be hired? if you are boss what do you think? Any interview experiences?

Well....hmmmm...good enough (to the question about computer skills) isn't really a good answer....did you actually say "I will take whatevers posted on the website?" I like for the person I'm interviewing to ask me questions about the position about benefits or what kind of opportunities for advancement does the company offer. I really like it when people tell me what they have to offer and why they would be perfect for the position I have open....from what you have said about your interview I'm leaning towards no...sorry and good luck!!!

From what you said, you had a lot going for you when you walked in that door, however you practically killed your chances of getting that job. They told you that you were their No.1 choice. You should have asked what it was that attracted them to you. Then play on that. At least that would have told you what they like. Your answers are too vague. You could have been more informed. They asked you what you wanted to be paid, but saying "whatever" is on the website is telling them that you probably didn't bother to look and you are not very interested in their job. In fact, this would have been a great opportunity to sell yourself and get a fantastic paycheck! If you knew the position was paying 40k and you said that you want to make 50k and your reasoning behind it, then they would consider it because you are their No.1 candidate! Furthermore, when they ask you if you have any questions and you say; "No", this means you aren't very interested in their job. They are investing in you and will be paying you money. They want to see that you are motivated and interested in their job!
Try and treat every job interview as an opportunity. Be well informed and sell yourself on every interview. At the end of the day every employer will want you and you can choose what job best suites you. Live and Learn!

You were simply too passive.
Don't just be , whatever, no, uh, ok. Be ALIVE!
Computer skills. " I may need some work with Excell, but I enjoy working with Access."
Salary level, "
" Your amount sounds great for a start, but I look foreward to showing you I may be worth more in the future."
Questions " At least ask "is this position a new one , or would i replacing someone who may have been promoted?"

Sound like you have something to offer, not simply be a warm body to fill down a job.
The interview wasn't a total loss. You were wondering how you did. Now, the next one, , go get "em!
Good luck.

You didnt ask ANY questions? You did not show any enthusiasm. You did not sound like you really wanted to work there,

You said your computer skills were so-so, you did not expand on what you could do, and what you were planning to do.

DId you even look at the website to check the salary? If yes, then you could have negotiated for more based on what you can do. But you have to sell yourself to do that.

You did NOT SELL yourself.

You just said - Uh-huh, so-so, good enough.

Based on that, NO I do NOT beleive you will be hired.
