Have ever been fired from your job for no reason?
I had a supervisor,everytime I said good morning
he would say shut the f*** up and get to work.He
said he could fire for no reason and I could not do anything about it because he said he hated my guts. I did my job and tried to mean well. He was a
bully. If you were fired for no reason what did you do?

Can a business post a job listing for something that isnt really what the job description is? and when you get there they refuse to give details of pay/benefits and actual job description? then make you go on a false interview that is really making you do charity work then not pay you for the time you were there? Then not allow you to use a cell phone to contact anyone letting them know where you are? Oh and did i mention not giving you a lunch break?

I recently accepted a job offer though a staffing agency...but the recruiter said I had to come by to fill out paperwork & that they would be running a background check. 12 years ago I was working at a convenience store & some money vanished. I've lived in the same county all this time, and I recently found out there is a pending felony charge for embezzlement. I've had several traffic tickets since, and this never came up. However, it is showing up on my background check. Is there a snowball's chance in hell I'll get hired? What would I do to get it resolved? A lawyer told me to ignore it, but I guess I can't. At the time, I took a polygraph and everything (I didn't take the money), so it's a mystery why that is out there and I didn't know until recently.

I recently graduated as a RN. My potential employer told me they wanted me as charge within 6 months. Even though I know I could push myself, I was turned off by the pressure of this from day 1. I want to be a safe, effective nurse, and would not have had a problem with charge RN if she had given me a year or something. This is a facility that I have never worked, so all polices, procedures, and systems would all be new for me to learn too. Is this too much to ask or normal for a new grad? Thanks for any advice!

I'm looking into becomming a nurse and only answer if you really know the answer, don't answer just to get some points, Thanks.

I want to know how I can become a nurse and if there are programs or grants for people that have little or no money to invest into it. Could someone let me know what the best thing to do is?

I currently work as a staff accountant at a CPA firm and I make $10.00 an hour. The lady that was there before me made just over $13.00 an hour after 7 years of employment. I do get a paid vacation and we do have a 401k.

I have been thinking about going to real estate school to become a real estate agent. I love going into houses and looking around at the different layouts and decorating themes, etc.

I like the idea of being self-employed and having a job where I am not behind a desk all day. The downside is the hours - people calling at all times of the day and night, 7 days a week.

I have always wanted to have my own "business" and I have considered opening a bookkeeping business, but I also am leaning toward real estate. Maybe I could do both?

I would appriciate any input! Thanks!

I have been on a temp to hire position and have NOT gotten hired yet. So I started looking and got a real permanent job somewhere else. Do I tell my temp agency or this manager here first? I start at the new place in a week so that gives them 1wk to train and find someone new!! Im so excited but nervous to leave them hanging. Who do I tell first?

Hey ya-so I've finished up a 3 day physical/drug screening/DOJ background/fingerprint/TB test etc, and I'm headed back home which is about 300 miles away later today. It looks like I have the job, but I have some expenses that I wanted to ask the new employer about covering (gas, motel, food only). Anyone know when a good time to ask would be and how to approach the HR manager about it? Thanx.

hi. im a junior in a top 30 university (US news) double majoring in business administration and psychology. i am thinking of potential careers to get into where i can meet a potential husband who is intelligent, loyal and financially stable.

i am physically attractive, but i've been played by soooo many (frat) guys who are players. i made the mistake of joining a sorority and ended up meeting a lot of shady (frat) guys. i don't want to make the same mistake with my career.

and would you say it's bad to work with your husband? like co workers. or be in the same field as your husband?

an advice i want. for example, i was talking to a frat guy (who was like 40 yrs old, so he's pretty wise?!) last night and he was telling me to be a pharmaceutical rep. as i'll get to meet many physicians and doctors through the job, and it's relatively decent pay.

big generalisation but would you say doctors have many girls going for them, i don't want that much competition...

Hi, I am beginning to look for a new job and I was just curious if you all could give me an approximate time frame of how long it took you. I am only interested in the serious professional not a part time job. I have both my BA and MBA and about a year of real world experience. Any advice suggestions, I'm looking to move and relocate as soon as possible for my own sanity. Speficially looking at Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Philly, or the NYC area in case anyone has any leads. Thanks

I currently work at CompUSA, and have been for the past 3 years. I'm currently making $10.60 an hour and I hate it there because I seriously get like 8 hours a week. I have an Interview at Best Buy and want to know what I can expect for an hourly wage.
