I'm a college graduate with three college degrees (two in Business and one in Comp. Sci.) and i'm having trouble finding (and possibly keeping) a job. When i find one, it's usually to put some $ in my pocket to keep me going for something better. Five months ago, i lost my job after working for close to two years. I have applied to temp agencies and have gone from one job fair to another with little or no success. It's really taking a toll on me and putting a strain on my finances and keeping me from doing what i'm trying to do (relocating to another state, at this point seems like the only option). Where i live (Michigan), the economy is weak, there are hardly any jobs, and i have run out of patience! I always thought if you get a college degree, the doors swing open and you're good to go! So if i have these types of degrees, what is out here that's good. I could use some advice. Good advice!

Employee has worked 4 company 26 yrs. Employee has been told many times to restrict internet & personal email to breaks & lunch. Now uses personal cell phone 4 calls 2 son homeschooled. Son has issues and I'm not sure where to draw the line.
Her salary is more than position requires. Too much time on personal business. My boss doesn't want to fire her, but I'm at a loss of what to do to get her attention. She can be very intimidating at times, and does not handle authority very well, but can be a great worker when chooses.
No desire to go to school to better herself. Does not go out of way to take on extra assignments.

Any suggestions?

I want to teach elementary school.
Will they look at this as a college screw up?
I am 20 yrs old.
No other charges were given other than the misdemeanor of drug paraphernalia.
How long will drug paraphernalia be on my record?
Please help. Thank you.

I want to move to Vancouver BC next year with my husband who is in Tech field. Currently he is a Setup Configuration Analyst and makes amazing money. How hard would it be for him to find a similar tech position in Vancouver that pays well? Are there a wide array of available tech jobs open? How is the market there for tech jobs? I've already done research with various job posting web sites. If someone who is in tech field or similar and lives and works in Vancouver BC can answer- that'd be great! Of course all advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm on the market for a new job and have sent my resume out all over town. I've had a couple of interviews this week and have a couple scheduled next week. The two next week are better jobs. If I'm offered a job this week by one of the other companies, how long do I have to give them an answer? Is it unprofessional to wait until after the other two interviews?

If a new employee is on probation and has been spoken to (written up) about a number of problems, can they be terminated after that for any just cause as long as they are still on probation? Does it have to be one of the exact things that they were spoken to about? Can they sue?

I would like to switch careers from general office work (I have a B.A. in liberal arts) to possibly horticulture. Does anyone know the job prospects, earnings and potential in this field? I wouldn't mind becoming a greenhouse/nursery manager or even go into landscape design (but not an architect). Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!!!!

I live in Austin, TX at my moms house, not a huge fan of Austin or living with my mom. I work at a job I hate that is deadend and low paying. Im thinking of moving to New York, hopefully I could make more? I have another job interview today here that would be for a higher paying job though...

Alright, here's my story. I'm 19, I'm a second year university student working towards her Bachelors degree in Sociology and Communication Studies. My ultimate goal is to use my degree to either be a broadcaster on radio or tv, most likely in an entertainment-related field. Pretty much the female Ryan Seacrest. Anyway, I'm in school presently and I'm applying for jobs. Right now I make $8.01 an hour at a clothing store. How can I get a job that actually makes about $15,000 a year? Where could I apply?

I'm so frustrated with my job. There are so many miscommunications and no one wants to discuss things with each other so we're constantly being dragged into meetings to discuss hurt feelings or unravel gossip. What's most disappointing is that all of this drama involves women - the men are never involved.

I just want to do my job, but if I'm quiet and keep to myself, then people's feelings get hurt, because I'm not being social. If I'm social, then I risk being pulled into the middle of 'she said, she said' and have to sit in meetings and defend myself. I was sick and on cold medicine and someone told my boss that they had a problem because I wasn't chatty that day - I'm not kidding. This is NUTS!

This is so frustrating and it's pointless to quit, because a lot of offices have similar atmospheres.

So how do you deal with the drama queens of your office?

My job involves having to rely on others to provide pertenaint information relevant to my projects. I have alot of difficulty in getting a couple of folks that I must rely on, to provide this information without several requests.
One person in particular is very obstinate about not providing the information I request for.

would like to find something dealing in North Carolina Real Estate or Mortagage loan closing or processing. Does any body know of any thing, one, or a good place to job search for that. Been to monster, hot jobs, craigslist, and careers.com. Everything I've come across wants a start up fee for materials. I want something legit and is a sure thing.

I feel like she's constantly staring over my shoulder, or that she's looking for excuses to get rid of me. It's getting even more stressful because I am pregnant.

How can I deal with her? I go out for maternity leave in about 10 weeks. How can I be sure that I will have a job when I get back? I've been here for a year and a half.
