Hii! I have worked at tons of different places ranging from sales, to waitressing, to pizza delivering...I cannot figure out what is best for me! I either get too bored or it just doesn't give me the feeling I need to continue with satisfaction. I am a huge animal lover and also love to help out the community, environment and raise awareness about things that really matter. I also am a college student and need to make a decent amount of money doing what I do to keep my bills paid. Any ideas???

I've been at my job for 7 months. But I would love to move closer to family and friends at another place doing the same job. I'm 22. This is my first job out of college. When is acceptable to decide to make this lateral professional move for personal reasons? And when should I tell my boss?

Due to circumstances that I can't control, I really have to relocate back to my 'home' of the Pacific Northwest (either Seattle/Tacoma or Portland Metro is fine) but have had NO luck in finding a job. I work in the field of instructional design/instructional technology/learning development, have a masters in my field, 3 years of experience in my field, plus 4 years experience in another field (public school education). Additionally, I have a great amount of leadership/management experience as an officer in the US Army Reserve. I have applied for 20+ jobs posted on various sites like HotJobs and Monster, but have not even gotten so much as a telephone interview. My resume looks good, at least as far as I can tell. Any ideas on how to get noticed? I feel as though I'm very qualified.

My wife even says that I have disgraced myself by hiring her and the customers just don't seem to wan't a woman to work on their cars. Is this the last line of work women can't break through. I ask before if anyone on here would let a woman work on their car and the response was 100% positive. But in the real world it just isn't that way. What if it really was your car and a girl was really fixing it. How would you feel. Please be honest.

Ok, so I've just been offered a job I was interviewed for. The wage scale starts at £20k-ish and goes to £26k-ish. How can I word it so I don't start at the bottom?

I want to be able to call them and tell them I'm happy to accept...however....

Any techniques worked for YOU?

I am an American school teacher moving to Canada with my girlfriend. I have heard that it is hard to get a teaching job in Canada, and I don't know if the pay is enough to support a family. I have a masters degree in Education. We are not moving for a while, so I can get more education in the states, or some in Canada after we move...I don't know.

ANY info about teaching/working in Canada would be great.

I have education, but zero experience in the real world. I am looking for a decent job in NYC and don't want to put down my previous work experience from years ago, like working at Sears or Subway. I didn't work while I was in college though and didn't do an internship. What can I do to pad my resume and make me seem more desirable?

Need your opinions, I have a keen interest in computing and have already started doing a degree through the Open University, But now I'm starting to question if should I continue.

I'm a workshop joiner at the min, I hate the job but It pays the bills, when I started of as an apprentice there was good money in it, but now thank to Poles etc theres nothing in it, I'm on min wage.

I started retraining during a spell of unemployments as it was free with the Open Uni, I have got 60 points from 1 year, but now i've heard everyone has a degree in computing and theres not enough jobs to go around. So i'm really unsure what to do, to continue or not.

Either way I can not survive on min wage, I have a family to keep but thats all thats on offer in my trade as I have made a few enquires

I start school in the fall at an art school for interior design. I would love to find a job pertaining to that or as an assitant to a designer. Even if it's just designing show rooms for some place like Ikea or whatever (which I've already applied to) Anything to get me out of my office job now. Any ideas on where to begin? I'm a 23 year old female, living in San Diego.

I have had my degree since last May and I have yet to figure out what I want to do with it. I thought about TV stations but that's really hard to get your foot in the door. So, I'm just confused on what my options are with this degree of mine. What do you recommend?

I applied to Walmart a few weeks ago and just the other day one of my references was talking to me and they told me the place had called them. Of course that was good, but I'm wonderin why I haven't received any word yet. I'm beginning to think I typed my other reference's number wrong. If that happened, as that messed things up for me since they can get contact them, or do I still have a chance to get hired? Am I just worrying over nothing, as they did get a hold of my first one...

And please, no "Don't work there!" comments, as I have a few other applications in, it's just you take what you can get.

Thanks in advance.
