Been a stay at home mom for more than 22 years. Don't have any work experience except in fast food. I want something different for myself. Would like to go back to school but no money. Like to work for myself but don't know what I would do.

I work for a great company with pretty decent salary for Florida as a staff accountant in accounts payable. I am making currently $35,000. The benefits are ok, insurance is offered based on a flex pay and you must be there 2 years for the company to pay for their share of the insurance. Vacation is taken within the first 6 months of employment. No year required. They offer tuition reimbursement at 1 year of $3,000 per year cap, and have 10 major holidays like the state does.

Now, there is an opportunity for me to work as an accountant reporting to the controller, but basically managing several different entities and producing financials, for 5 different companies. I have no degree, but at $45,000 (they are offering), that is not bad at all. I have heard alot of people here with degrees only make $10-15K more. I have associates but no bachelors.

The job offers autonomy, some growth, insurance and 100% paid by company, vacation after a year. Would you leave if offered the job??

The KBR online jobs site is bull. You could apply for every job on there and, regardless of your experience, no one ever seems to get hired that way. What is the secret to getting hired with KBR or any other civilian job with U.S. Companies in Iraq or Afghanistan?

I have an opportunity to get a job about 90 miles away from home. I also hae an opportunity to purchase 10 acres of land with trees and a pond out in the country but within 20 miles of the other job. The problem is that the other job earns $36K per year, and I currently make $55K per year.

I have always dreamt of living in the country with lots of space and a big garden and TREES.

What would you do???

I was wonder what Nordstroms pays for people that work in sales( hourly wage and commission). I am planning on working in the Men's clothing department. Also, I am a college student, will they still consider me for a job even though I do not have experience in sales. I know a lot about fashion.

I am being made redundant next week and am very keen to get a new job straight away, I have applied for some and put my CV out there but if I have nothing soon I will need to sign on. I have heard different things about how you claim so I just wondered if anyone had done it recently and knew the actual procedure?? Thanks!
