For the purposes of an application for a government job, is getting laid off because a company didn't have as much work as they expected they would when they hired you the same as getting fired? Thanks.

I have been of legal working age for 27 years, but haven't worked all that time for various reasons. A project I'm working on involves finding out how much I could've, would've, should've made by now.
Anyone know an easy way to figure this out? Thanks. Mikilikes

I'm going for a Oral Board Review for this position on Monday and I'm worried about it. I've been through this 5 times before and I have never made it past the oral boards. Although I've passed written with the highest scores every time. Any advice on getting past this onto the next stage?

My supervisor at work is the worst person i think i know. I'm not the type of person to hate people, or to wish bad things on people, but this guy really takes the cake. He's just horrible, the things he does to people at work. He drives people into quiting, and is all about money, not peoples feelings or needs. He has no personality, no people skills, and no sense of humour what so ever. I've never had thoughts of doing this to anyone before, but if you knew from experience what he was like you'd think the same.
Anyway, my question is: I was wondering if anyone knows any ways to sabatage his career, something that will really work and not look suspecious at all. I need a really good idea, but can't think of one myself, i'm not that creative, so please if anyone knows any really good ideas that are logical and would work to get this guy fired, please help me out!!!!!!!!!!!

Please, only legit jobs where I wouldn't need to pay anything to start. I am a student and would love to find something that I can do online. Genres of jobs work too. No dropshipping though. Thanks.

There are only 6 of us in an office. 3 girls and 3 guys. We have 2 washrooms. However, I just feel so weird about number two-ing at work.
I think it should not be done. The washrooms are in the middle of the office between the 2 other girls desks. There is spray and a fan and the whole bit, but unlike the others I just can't go. I hold it until I get cramps and try my best to make it home after my 8 hr shift. I feel like I am judged, and that they know what I am doing in there and it weirds me out.

Is it just me, or do people think about you going when you do?

I just finished my first semester at college and did not perform well. I want to get an internship at a firm maybe working with the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities department or the Global Investment department of a company. Hopefully these departments aren't as competitive as Investment Banking. Do you know of any companies that are easier to get an internship from for a person with no background in finance except for high school econ and a lousy first semester GPA?

I have been working in with a company for 2 years and was promoted to management 8 months ago. The owner had a private meeting with me where he explained that he was letting a co-manager of mine go for a lack in performance and that I would need to help cover his responsibilities while a replacement is found. The manager being let go has become a good friend of mine over the last year and was partially instrumental in my promotion.

He is being let go next where he will probably receive a small severance package. It is hard working with him knowing his pending fate next week, but I do not want to put my job in any jeopardy by letting him know. I would normally trust confiding in him, but i don't know how he would react in this situation. I am a single parent and do want to put my own job at risk.

Should I shut up and toe the line, or tell my friend of his coming layoff?

He lost his job while he was in jail for charges that were dropped. Since we were already behind on bills, I'm afraid we are going to lose our house. Both he and I have been aggresively searching for employment for the past two weeks, but we need something immediately. What can we do?
