What does this mean?

When applying for a job and it says part time, full time,or registry, what is registry? I just moved to chicagoland and I have never seen that before.

Registery is just a fancy work for "as needed" or "on call" In other words, you'll be put on a list of available personnel I can call when needed. If there's available work and you're next on my list, then you'll have work, but if not, then you won't.

Bottom-line, it's temp.
