There are only 6 of us in an office. 3 girls and 3 guys. We have 2 washrooms. However, I just feel so weird about number two-ing at work.
I think it should not be done. The washrooms are in the middle of the office between the 2 other girls desks. There is spray and a fan and the whole bit, but unlike the others I just can't go. I hold it until I get cramps and try my best to make it home after my 8 hr shift. I feel like I am judged, and that they know what I am doing in there and it weirds me out.
Is it just me, or do people think about you going when you do?

I agree w/you .It is uncomfortable,, I personally " go " somewhere else ,while i'm out doing an errand. Like a fast -food place or a gas station..Go out and get some fresh air maybe a short walk. It's no one's business.

Hopefully you work with grown ups who understand that this is something that happens and it's perfectly natural. You can NOT be expected to hold it. That is not healthy mentally or physically! Im sure people dont think twice about it. Like you said, you have the fan and spray so you should be fine.

You are over reacting. Just go, but flush as soon as you start to go.... then flush again. Then there will be no tell tale sign. This question actually came up in an office etiquette seminar. Go, was the advice. If not, you are not only uncomfortable but you are not being as work productive as you should be. Plus, it;s not healthy. Try to get past it.

This type of office layout isn't uncommon at smaller companies where space is limited. And you're dealing with office professionals, who all understand the situation. I don't think it really should bother anybody because it'll become "second nature" as the days go by.

Everyone one knows what people do when they go to the bathroom. It's not like they're watching you. They do in there what you do at home. Holding it can cause you some serious medical problems. Trust me, nobody cares that you're going and they probably don't even pay attention when you go in. Forget about it.

Holding could give you liver damage so please don't hold it whatever you do. This is psychosomatical. They do it just as well as you. Do you notice every time someone goes in to do the # 2?
Guys especially don't care. If anything they are proud of their poop. If you don't notice they won't notice. Since it's work they should be working and too busy to even pay you any attention.

my old cubical was near the bathroom door and I didn't even notice when people went in and out . . don't worry about it . . it's not good for you to hold it all day . . just use the toilet that's what it's there for.
