CEOs of publicly traded companies make good money. They also get stock options which augment their compensation considerably.
Investment Bankers and Venture Capitalists do very well. I Bankers get huge bonuses for putting together deals and VCs get fractional ownership of successful startups.
The above have compensation packages up to tens of millions of dollars per year.
Your average lawyer or doctor does pretty well too. The range varies considerably of course and for every superstar lawyer there are thousands who can't make a living at it.
For doctors, the loans from medical school can be well over $250k so you have to factor that in.
Entertainers also make serious coin. If you want lots of money, try and be a rock star or a famous actor/actress. The chances of making it of course are 1 in a million. I would add athletes here too but again the range even within one sport is vast. The most highly compensated ones make most of their money from endorsements.

By generally, I'm thinking you might mean "realisticly". Not too many people turn into movie actors or have singing careers.
