There are however some great Art schools and majoring in Writing can occur in most liberal arts colleges. College courses can open you up to other people's thoughts and perceptions on things. Professors are also there to challenge you and to hopefully help you "hone" your craft (although some are not good at that).

That's not to say you cannot get the same advice from other artists out there-without going to school.

So...do what you feel is right for you. Artists aren't asked for their diplomas or certifications in order to sell or display their work. Writers, on the contrary, are sometimes held to a different set of standards, specifically if they are trying to obtain a job with a newspaper or publishing company. If you intend to say solely on the creative/expressive side of things, this may not matter.

yes u can be anything you want to,but the only difference is that, they want to see your college degree and other paper for a better post.i dint think ,a good company will call you if u dont have those information. But they dont get me wrong,u can still make millions without going to college either. so is just something that is strange.College is the key to success,so u can be a good write,but they want to see those paper in sch,if u got that,then heaven is you limit
