I am 20 years old, full time college student...I have 5 years in retail and sales experience... I used to work for a bridal shop for many years, then at another clothing store as a store manager, and then I was offered a position at Bath and body works, and now they want to make me a manager here...which i am completely happy about....right? well, there is a good chance the only store that needs a manager, is a store thats many cities away, which obviously, i wont want to do, nor CAN i do...the sad thing is, that if his managers position doesnt work out, then ill have to go back to a sales associate, which gives me about 3 hours A WEEK. no, really. lately i have been in tears, over the amount of stress ive been under, and so many bad things always seem to happen all at once. i might be facing the possibility of not having a job, and i have tried everything.where else can i work! i dont have the time rite now to work a $7/hr job. i have experience, i am a hard worker, and i have BILLS

i had two interviews today and got asked back for a third to meet the vp of sales. I spoke of my previous boss and how his negative reinforcement management style forced me to leave my old company...Did I screw myself by doing this? I also talked about how miserable I was there, but how I still made them a ton of money even with this adversity!

I was released for modified work from my dr. with restrictionsof only one handed work. He put no hourly restrictions on although when I took my release to my employer he is only letting me return to work at 5 hours per day. I am not doing my regular job but one they made up for me. The doctor said I could return at full time, why is the employer placing restrictions on my hours? Is this legal? I thought the dr. was the only one that could place restrictions on the work hours? Also I have heard after you return to work employers like to "let you go", have any of you had experience with this? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I had a question about applying for jobs, specifically related to cover letters. Is this mandatory, and should it be included with the resume or presented at a later time in the application process? This is my first time applying for a serious job, so I want to do it right.

After such hectic and busy holidays, I'm back with job hunting and I really hate it and so I hope to get a new job by summer. Please help me. Is there a rule about changing the position title from what it is to something else on resume? I'm not talking about something that is so out of it. I"m talking about a title that aptly describes my position and it'll be more easier to grab by prospective employers. I want to change it but I'm scared cuz I know the some companies check with previous work companies for verification. Of course, I don't want to sound a liar. Thank you

I'm doing this to settle an arguement with my fiance. I'm looking to switch companies. He is absolutely convinced that I can ask for $60K and actually get $50K. Right now I'm making $33K. I think I should ask for at most 50 and maybe get 45. So what would be realistic?

The course is a 6 month course. I plan to take the certification test in July after the course is finished. Once I finish the class how do I go about finding a job. I have already checked all of the hospitals websites, careerbuilder, monster etc.. Most want 2 to 3 years exp. This class only gives me a year exp. I can go back to the next class that starts in July and that will give me another year exp. Will employeers hire someone fresh out of the class? I don't have any medical exp. I have been in the banking field the past 5 1/2 years and am looking to change to a career with higher pay. hopefully. I'm not really sure where to start. Can you help?

We were expecting an ice storm which never arrived, and 3 nurses who are 12 hour shifters on my unit called in because they were afraid of getting stuck in the hospital. 2 of them live in town. They came up with every excuse in the book not to be at work. I went to work and drove home 25 miles with no problems.
I save my vacation hours in case I would like to go somewhere and other nurses use up their hours then want to take time off anyway and the supervisor gives it to them making us work short and and understaffed. My phone does not stop ringing at home for me to come into work because someone has called in or they are understaffed. What happened to responsibility. I feel like I am blessed to have a job. I single parented 2 kids into adulthood and never called in. Should I just quit my job now or plann some time off? I am burnt out
