According to our handbook, employees are to have one 30 minute lunch for every 6 hours of work as well as two 15 minute break periods before and after.

Most of the time workload prevents me from taking either of the 15 minute breaks during their normal times. So to comphensate, I punch out for 15 minutes for lunch and take a 10-15 minute break while on the clock. It has come to my attention, that my manager is voiding my punches and punching me out for the whole 30 minutes. She has told a coworker of hers when approached that I was "cheating" to get overtime.
So, my question is: Is it legal for a manager to override an employee's punches and change them to reduce the amount of OT being paid out?

Today at work, a few cubicals away, I overheard my boss's boss talking about who would be in charge while my boss was away on assignment for three months. I am a temp, and the head boss mentioned to another person that they would be overseeing another temp without mentioning my name. The guy asked "what about the other temp?" and he seemed as if he forgot about me. My problem is business politics and socialbility. I think I was forgotten because I don't say much and do not engage in what I consider to be "cheesy" chit-chat. The other guy does and I feel that is why he was remembered. Do you think it is absolutley necessary to suceed in business if you don't engage in this constant form of chit-chat? Or is it ok just to be my, modestly spoken self? Thanks

This is not sexual in nature but just a guy at my job who won't leave me alone! He's this very unusual guy that gives me the creeps but for some reason wants to just talk to me all the time. I try to avoid him and he follows me. I ignore him and he tries to get my attention. The thing is he isn't DOING anything other than just trying to bug me all the time. So I need a definition of harrasment that doesn't involve sexual misconduct, to make this stop.

Everyone knows in my firm that we are all underpaid. I'm getting closer to my annual review and I'm going to ask for a raise. I'm organizing a bunch of documents with information about my performance, goals accomplished, etc and I want to include how much other firms pay for my position in my city? Is there any way on how you can find out the general range for your position in your city? Any other ideas of what should I include will be very much appreciate it. Thanks for any helpful information.Happy Holidays!

I'm attending a final round interview next Monday. But I'm still uncertain about how much time should I spend if I were asked the question "Tell me something about yourself." I was planning to talk about my academic background, my strength, my interest in the position they offer, my part time job experiences, etc. Will that be too much? How should I trim my answer to finish this question within one minute? Is that a rule for questions like this?

And how long should the answer to each question last?

Thank you very much for your attention, please help me.

But i want to bne known in the co as being very competent in my job and someone that could take the reigns when needed. Help me.
